At the airport, headed for Denver for the wife’s birthday. Doing the Pike’s Peak cog railway to the summit tomorrow, haven’t been up there since I was a teenager.
I enjoyed it; Mrs Runner did not
Guess there was a major snowstorm the other day, train’s not going to the top until it clears so we’re doing Garden of the Gods instead.
Another good stop.
Nice to be back in the central time zone and a day game so I can finally enjoy listening along.
Stupid fact: hwy 64 across southern Indiana jumps time zones several times as you cross the state.
I built the Lego Dune ornithopter then watched Troell Embiid's (my least favorite basketball player in the history of the sport) go down 3-1. Been a good day so hopefully the Twins and Wolves can keep that going.
How is the ornithopter? I've been holding firm on not getting it. Instead I think I'll get the orrery.
The ornithopter is rad.
Accidentally posted that. I just love what Lego does with things like the wings folding back and the landing gear/ramp opening up. The only downside is that the wings are huge so I have to have them retracted to fit on my shelf.
Back home from Europe. Great trip. I think we averaged over 10 miles walking each day. 8 out of 9 days it rained. However, we saw a lot, drank our share of Dunkels, Pilsners and Weiss, and ate a fair amount of solid German fare. TheTwolves were fun to follow between 4 and 6 am on game days. Yes... jet lag is a real thing. My wife is now citizem of both the US and Luxembourg.
Nice to see the Twins bounce back from a shitty start to the season. I still think they win this division. Thats it. I am tired.
It looked like a great trip from the photos. Welcome back
I don't know many people with Luxembourgish citizenship.
What's the process for you getting it now too?
You two can retire to a nice little island in the Aegean
Today was not the ideal weather for a kids soccer jamboree. At least my body is now acclimated to spending an entire day in cold, wet weather, so it's prepared for my trip to Voyageurs in three weeks.
I wish I could have stayed up late enough to watch the second half. The Wolves need to move to the East so they don't have any of these bs time zones to play in.
Welp, the NBA has decided they do not want the Wolves to sweep.

That was legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever watched.
I watched it three times and cackled with laughter every time
Wow
Awooooo
Great team win but Ant was insane.
