Great game. That's the first time a Minnesota team has swept a best-of-seven series. Like, all the teams, ever. Love this team. Stopping myself from posting five great plays from last night.

Typical. Treating women as afterthoughts, if at all.
Best of seven....
They did qualify it by mentioning a 4-game sweep.
I've seen it mentioned a couple places the Lynx definitely would have done it at least once if they had the opportunity.
On twitter someone noted that the 2013 Lynx team went 7-0 in the playoffs and won the first two games of the finals by 20+ points each game.
And I'm only going to post one clip (but it's a 2-for-1). The family was asleep so I could only be loud with my movements after this sequence. Tenacious D!
Yes. I sent that to a friend. Best thirty seconds of the game.
I saw the highlight of the dunk but I had no idea how awesome the sequence was that preceded it. Defense wins championships.
I love how KD ducked out of being posterized.
Yup. That was special.
the bench reaction after the dunk, as always, should be its own highlight. Wolves bench have had this college/high level of joy after plays all season.
First the Twins and now the Wolves. Breaking out of playoff slumps is fun.
Oh right, the Twins swept too. Double Johns!
Lots of sweeping going on with these teams, too.
Careful now -- White Sox also swept: we're the target of a high speed
juggernautAAA teamI just asked for Wednesday afternoon off. Hopefully I'll have occasion to use some cleaning supplies.
I was talking about the 2023 playoffs for the Twins, none of this regular season stuff...
Martin down, Correa up.
Dang, suppose they want Martin playing everyday
File under you hate to see it, but this ESPN article pretty much lays out how much Phoenix is hurting over the next couple of years.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/40045196/2024-nba-playoffs-how-phoenix-suns-salvage-their-future-mystery
I don't think that is paywalled. Sorry if it is.
Paging ubes...
They better hope they can be the best drafters ever for the next several years.
Isn't this somewhat similar to the Wolves situation, only their moves worked out and their superstar is younger?
The Wolves situation is not as bad, largely, if I recall, because Danny Ainge is a bad gm, actually.
Here's the Suns list. Its grim.
Wait, sorry, not Ainge (although he did get swindled in the Gobert trade, imo), I meant Rob Pelinka's incompetence.
The players that the Wolves have long-term details deals with are much younger. Ant and Jaden both under 24. Even if the Gobert trade had been a disaster, much easier to dig out of with young players.
I'm not sure why I was paged, haha, but I do think it's awful that GMs can make win-now moves like that which so totally screw over the fans in the long run.
Your multiple rants on now allowing GMs to sacrifice so many future seasons for today came to mind.
I think this can be true of non-sports businesses, too.
Well, at least I'm known for something, I guess. 🙂
i think it was edsbs that compared jokic to a very talented circus bear and that is so right.
I think it's hilarious that two of probably the top 5 players in the league are pudgy Eastern Europeans.
Luka seems like a cool hang.
I would definitely hang with the Joker over Luka.
