May 19, 2024: Transitions

Pete is getting to the age where he basically needs to start being assigned tasks (it's more complicated than that, but I think most of the parents will pick up on that). It's an interesting transition for all of us.

  1. Neitzsche's first baseball game of the year is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight. 50% chance of rain. I'm not sure whether I want the distraction from the Wolves or I don't want the distraction. Game 7s are awesome.

    1. Middle child had his first soccer game in the rain on Saturday. Thankfully it wasn't cold so it was the right type of rain for building character.

        1. It was like: " sure, there's a chance you could come back. But is there, really?"

  2. We wore them out. WWLLLWW. The joker wasgassed, the entire Nugget team was gassed.

    1. Joker needed to rest for some of that second quarter, because once we stormed back, he had no choice but to play. They Thibodeau’d the guy.

  3. Neitzsche's game went long - I checked the halftime score as we got in the van to head home. With the Wolves losing as bad as they were, we didn't turn on the radio, and instead just talked about the baseball game (Neitzsche went 2-3, with a run, and the save in a 4-2 win (save is overly generous... no walks... if 4 balls then the coach pitches, and Neitzsche didn't record a single out on his own, it was all the coaches pitching... but hey, it was his first time pitching at all...)).

Anyway, when we got home I checked the score and the Wolves were up by 2. Perfect van ride.
