FCL TWINS 5, FCL BRAVES 2 AT TWINS

The Twins scored three in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie.  Ariel Castro hit a two-run double to break the tie.

Multi-hit games:  Castro was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs.

Stolen bases:  Yasser Mercedes (7); Yilber Herrera (3).

Pitching prowess:  Eider Machuca pitched 3.1 scoreless innings of relief, giving up one hit and striking out two.  Yency De Jesus struck out three in 2.1 innings, giving up an unearned run on three walks.  Wilker Reyes retired all five men he faced, striking out three.

Opposition standout:  Yorvi Pirela pitched two shutout innings, giving up a walk.

Record:  The FCL Twins are 8-3, in first place, a half game ahead of the FCL Pirates.
