Rough Sunday for the local squads.
Was hoping PWHL Minnesota could finish it up yesterday but they lost in 2OT. Still leading the series 3-1 though.
2-2. All the marbles Wednesday.
Almost had the loss quadfecta last night with Twins, Wolves, PWHL MN loses. Only Lynx came through.
My brother from OKC warned me about Dallas, said when they get hot they are damn hard to beat. He didn't mention their dislikeability.
Its gonna be a very unlikeable finals. Fortunately I am able to easily entertain myself with baseball (even when the Twins struggle) and other activities.
Sometimes the difference between great defense and mediocre defense is how hot the other team is shooting. I wouldn't say the Wolves are playing their very best, but Dallas is definitely on fire right now. They are making a lot of highly contested shots.
Mavs were 50% from outside the arc last night. That's real buzz killing shite.
So, a catcher and a utility infielder are leading all the Twins batting stats right now. But it looks like only four guys on the team even have enough AB to qualify for leaderboards.
We're used to catchers leading the team in batting stats.
Battey'd
Only in p*ssy singles.
Its a fine day to sit outside watching baseball smoking ribs.
Especially with all the dingers!
RIP Bill Walton
Bill Walton might be one of the most interesting things to ever happen to mankind. pic.twitter.com/u9JSE6VtjG
He was on the short list for greatest collegiate player of all time and, when healthy (which was rare), a first-tier HOF NBA player. And overcame a stutter to the point that you'd sometimes want him to STFU.
An interesting man, gone too soon.
I loved listening to Walton when he was the color guy for the Maui Jim Maui college bball tourny! I will miss him.
see ya later Angel Hernandez
!!!
Negotiated settlement. Wonder how much it cost to get rid of him.
Bet his retirement gift from MLBPA is a seeing-eye dog.
Now they can address C. B. Bucknor and Laz Diaz.
Imagine going to a concert where the performers intonation was on par with Ángel Hernández’s accuracy, with the ego to match.
Or imagine flying in a plane piloted by someone with Hernández’ grasp of regulations and attitude.
Or eating in a restaurant where the staff’s sanitation during service matched Ángel’s pitch-calling consistency…

Oh, wow. I didn't see that coming.
