  1. I gotta make sure to weight myself before and after my bike ride I'm planning on this morning to see how much water weight I can lose in an hour and a half.

  2. We are moved in! Well, "moved in" in the sense that everything is inside. It will be a while before everything is unpacked and put away. I keep saying that we'll be here a long time, so there's no hurry to get everything unpacked. Mrs. A agrees with me in theory. Time will tell whether she agrees with me in reality.

  3. At F1rst Wrestling on Sunday, one of the wrestlers (Ryan Cruz) entered to Higher and got a ridiculous pop from people singing along. Now this:

    1. Excellent! I now kind of need all stadiums to have mariachi bands. Especially if it tones down the 110db hype music.

      1. A couple years ago the Padres had Jorge Alfaro on the roster, and the reception at every plate appearance was ecstatic, which is pretty cool for a journeyman backup catcher. Friar Faithful would sing along to Vicente Fernández’ “Volver Volver” every time Alfaro walked to the plate. How can one not love canción ranchera?

      2. The hype music is (one of) the worst thing(s) about modern, pro sports.

NBA games are the biggest offenders. So damn much racket, and the timeouts are even worse, with the ever-present Hype Men and Women, the tee-shirt guns, etc., etc.

That crap has really escalated in the past 20 years or so. Effin' Gen Zers and Millennials! GOML!

        1. Basketball arena sounds are a special animal. I'm more upset about this recent wave of late 90's/early 2000s nostalgia. I'm sorry, but Limp Bizkit sucked then and they suck now. (I know we're taking about Creed here)

  4. It's looking like a rainout tonight with potentially severe storms starting around 7:00 pm. Tornado watch in effect until 8:00 pm.

    1. Coulda used that rainout here I don't have to sit this great watching little league.

    2. Looks like the big band of storms to the west is going to veer north of us, and the lines to the south moving this way are thin and weak so there’s only about a 50% chance of precipitation through the evening now. They’re going to shoehorn this game in if they can. Best to get an early lead just in case it goes short.

        1. Kirilloff’s option was rescinded on Tuesday. He is instead going on the MLB 10-day injured list with a back issue.

          1. Saves the Twins an option year on him too. If they don't need it for the rest of the season then they can option him next year instead.
