I might go to my first Twins game of the season tonight. Thinking I'll just head downtown and see what I can get on StubHub last minute.
We've had so much rain and my back yard gets so little sun that I have a crop of mushrooms growing back there. I wonder if any of them are edible. Or psychoactive.
I have a sandy hill in my backyard that typically is difficult to keep green. No issues this year at all. I actually have not turned on my irrigation yet. In terms of mushrooms, a local forage in my area is texting me every 3-4 days as he has a ton of product to peddle this year.
Anything is edible once…
I always liked "gasoline has such a high caloric content that just one gallon will last you the rest of your life"
I got a wave from Kenta Maeda yesterday. I was working section 131 next to the bullpen and he had just come out to do some stretching as I was walking down the stairs. He looked up and saw me, I waved, he waved back and it was cool. Closer to game time he and Ober were both warming up side by side in the pen. Ober has to be a foot taller than Kenta so it was a fairly amusing visual.
I'm wanting to leave Rochester Sunday AM and head north taking the Mankato/New Ulm route instead of the normal Twin Cities/I-94 routine -- anyone know if there is any flooding issues to contend with?
Last I heard, there were some road closure between Mankato and St Peter
Side note: 4th celebrations were cancelled in St Charles due to the high river, and sandbagging beginning in a couple places
169 is open now. I don't think there are any major road closures due to flooding any more. Some local roads here and there.
Thanks everyone, good to know.
There is a lot of scheduled road work being done in both Mankato and New Ulm but all the major roads are flood free
Saw some of that on the map, I'm assuming detours are in place
The guys got Pablo's back. He's gonna need it
Also, that's 23 straight HR games
My brain had a hard time understanding how the hell Correa made that throw.
Wasted bunt. Don't forget to send a thank you note, Houston.
Some questionable coaching decisions this game.
A-yep
10 straight hits!
Geez louise guys, a little bit of pitching and we could pick up a game on Cleveland
Replay review to put the fatty on first base
Maybe this is the game that convinces the front office to get some relief help.
Seriously.
Unusual game
25 runs. 20 LOB.
What's wrong in this blurb from MLB?
10 -- José Miranda, Cardinals: July 3-5, 2024
Miranda was already in the midst of a career year before his streak began, entering play on July 3 with career-high values in batting average (.296) and OPS (.821), among other stats. But his run in early July took things to another level. He singled in his final at-bat of a loss to the Tigers on July 3, and then went 5-for-5 and 4-for-4 in his next two games (one against Detroit, one against Houston). As of the conclusion of play on Friday night, his streak is still active.
"another level"
Even worse error:
11 -- Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox: Aug. 25-27, 2016
The fan favorite second baseman...
