  1. I've had COVID the last few days but still disappointed it took me 24 hours to find out a White Sox had an immaculate inning agains the Twins. The first time in over 100 years by a pitcher named Sloppy Thurston.

    1. There's been a "summer cold" trickling along among relations here up nort', and now Mom has it. Apparently no one tests up here anymore, so we initiated testing Mom last night and she had a hint of a ghost of a line. Nice. :/

      1. I've had a nagging cough for a few weeks now and didn't even think it could be COVID. Now I'm thinking I should test.

        1. I woke up with a dry cough Tuesday morning, by that evening I was in rough shape.

    2. The owner of our company has it, and he came in Monday despite knowing he was sick to take care of some things. He brought a covid test so we all figured he did it immediately, but he putzed around for six hours before finally taking it and telling us he had it. Another guy got it as a result. I feel like I have something or other, but so far, negative.

      1. Idiot.

Our entire family has it. Much worse than the first time, though we're all finally on the mend.

      1. Willi comes to play, I love his hustle and intensity, his flexibility in the field is a great asset, and he's hitting another level at the plate with regular playing time . Glad to see him getting this recognition.

    1. hmm...

Willi Castro is 11th in the league for fWAR but he has no real position. I'm sure he'll make it in as an injury replacement because any manager would like a player that can cover any position late in a game that doesn't matter.

  2. I’ve been burning it at both ends since returning from a trip to Scotland three weeks ago and now I’m on a flight to the mothership to put my FiL in the ground tomorrow morning at ft. Snelling. Going to be a weird day. Everyone has a bunch of feels but no one knows how they’re going to feel until we get there. Also, 9 am sharp means 9 am sharp. We’ll see if the meat family can be on time for something…..

    1. My condolences printer, to you and the good doctor. I am sorely disappointed that I wasn’t able to get more done on his behalf.

    2. Condolences to you and your family. My parents are both buried at Fort Snelling. They really do a nice job over there. It is a very well kept complex, but it is just so sad how many headstones are there.
