We are at 100 games for the season. Wow. Last night the Twins had a nice victory against maybe the best team in the league this year and hoping to keep it going today. Especially important because it appears that the Guardians have started to play like we all thought they would and first place is withing striking distance. Should be an exiting last two months of the season in the AL Central.
Zach Wheeler up for the Phillies and another great arm that the Twins will have to deal with. Simeon Woods Richardson for the Twins and he continues to make the case for being a permanent member of the Twins starting staff.
First pitch at 6:40 and weather should hold out, although conditions ripe for a pop up storm.
The Twins went down in order in the first, but it cost Wheeler over 20 pitches. I'll take that.
Aw, man. One of the few times I have the volume on and Smalley is in the booth.
Margot not in the lineup? Pinch hitter opportunity!! *rubs hands together*
Man, Wallner can rip ‘em.
His single yesterday was even harder hit. All his AB results in the Gameday screen use the same adjectives: "...sharp line drive.. ", "...driven sharply to right field...", "...strikes out sharply..."
"throws sharply from left field".
As nice as it is from the Twins' #6 starter to trade zeros with the Phillies' ace, it would be great for the batters to help Woods Richardson a little bit.

Phillies not doing great on the base paths.
Whoa, Edouard forgotten what he relearned in AAA already?
He has good company today.
I'd be fine if we score now in lieu of a walkoff...
Jeffers over Margot? Seriously?!
Margot is 0-23 as a PH this season. Jeffers had to go in the game eventually anyway.
Yes, hence my LTE above.
I did search for the sarcasm tag but the results were inconclusive.
The streak is alive.
0-24
Ah, crap.
I have not been that impressed with Duran this year.
I’m not convinced he’s fully healthy.
Yeah, that makes sense, his velo is down, and his control is way off.
In Duran's defense, he pitched on Saturday and was fully warmed up to enter both Sunday and yesterday. Thus, even though he had "two days off," he had to get the blood flowing for the fourth consecutive day.
Dave Dombrowski can burn a farm system to the ground, but you have to admire how he goes about it.
Lame
Well this was supposed to be a stand alone comment referencing the ending of the game.
Lame
I'll give the Phillies credit -- they scored runs
Great start by Woods Richardson. The Twins rotation would be a lot worse without him.
