ST. PAUL SAINTS 6, OMAHA STORM CHASERS 2 IN ST. PAUL

St. Paul scored two in the third to take a 4-0 lead.

Multi-hit games:  Yunior Severino was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Wynton Bernard was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.  Jose Miranda was 2-for-4.

Opposition standout:  Rodolfo Duran was 3-for-4 with two doubles.

AMARILLO SOD POODLES 7, WICHITA WIND SURGE 3 IN AMARILLO

Luke Keaschall hit a three-run homer to tie it in the top of the eighth, but Amarillo responded with four in the bottom of the eighth.

Pitching prowess:  Travis Adams pitched six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks and striking out two.

CEDAR RAPIDS KERNELS 6, QUAD CITIES RIVER BANDITS 2 IN QUAD CITIES

Jose Salas' RBI single in the fourth gave Cedar Rapids a 3-2 lead.

Multi-hit games:  Ricardo Olivar was 4-for-5 with two doubles and two runs.  Gabriel Gonzalez was 3-for-5 with a double.  Misael Urbina was 2-for-4 with a double.

Stolen bases:  None.

Pitching prowess:  John Klein struck out seven in six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks.  Jarret Whorff struck out five in three perfect innings.

Opposition standout:  Hunter Patteson pitched three innings, giving up one run on four hits and a walk and striking out two.

Record:  Cedar Rapids is 16-10, in second place, 1.5 games behind Wisconsin.

FORT MYERS MIGHTY MUSSELS 8, DUNEDIN BLUE JAYS 1 IN DUNEDIN

Fort Myers broke a scoreless tie with three in the third on homers by Maddux Houghton and Walker Jenkins.  Four pitchers combined for a one-hitter.

Multi-hit games:  Jenkins was 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and four RBIs.  Houghton was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBIs.

Home runs:  Houghton (3); Jenkins (3).

Multi-RBI games:  Jenkins 4 (29); Houghton 2 (32).

Stolen bases:  None.

Pitching prowess:  Paulshawn Pasqualotto struck out six in four innings, giving up one run on a hit and a walk.  Tomas Cleto struck out three and walked one in 1.2 scoreless innings.  Jack Noble struck out two and walked two in 1.1 scoreless innings.  Samuel Perez struck out two in two perfect innings.

Win:  Cleto (1-1).

Opposition standout:  Victor Arias was 1-for-3 with a home run.  It was the only Dunedin hit.

Record:  Fort Myers is 17-7, in first place, 3.5 games ahead of Lakeland.
