WICHITA WIND SURGE 10, AMARILLO SOD POODLES 8 IN AMARILLO

Wichita scored four in the seventh to lead 10-2, then held on as Amarillo scored one in the seventh and five in the ninth.  They tying run was on base when the game ended.

Multi-hit games:  Ben Ross was 2-for-4 with two doubles.  Jorel Ortega was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.  Jake Rucker was 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs, and three RBIs.  Carson McCusker was 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, and two RBIs.

Rayne Doncon hit a two-run homer in the ninth to give Cedar Rapids a 5-0 lead.  They needed it, as Quad Cities scored three in the bottom of the ninth.

Multi-hit games:  Rubel Cespedes was 2-for-3 with a double.  Dillon Tatum was 2-for-3 with a double.  Doncon was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Pitching prowess:  C. J. Culpepper struck out three in two perfect innings.  Jordan Carr pitched 6.1 innings, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk and striking out five.

Opposition standout:  Frank Mozzicato pitched five innings, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks and striking out four.

FORT MYERS MIGHTY MUSSELS 6, DUNEDIN BLUE JAYS 3 IN DUNEDIN

Fort Myers scored three in the second to take a 3-2 lead, then added two in the third.
