August 21, 2024: Restored

I prefer to keep “physical” copies of my music on my phone. Awhile back I had to temporarily use a phone with a smaller capacity so I had to cut a good half of my library off. I recently remembered I have a bigger phone now and have brought my library back to its full glory.

  1. I bought a used Galaxy with no SIM card on the cheap so I could try out Android and I've ended up using it as a media server around the house, casting music to BT speakers/headphones and TV/YT/ETC. to the bedroom and office television sets. It has a 128GB internal memory and holds a 128GB microSD card, which is where I keep my music. My wife calls it my burner phone. I have another 64GB microSD card full of music in my car stereo.

    1. I recently had to get a new phone and was dismayed at how limited my options were for phones with expandable storage, so I ended up with a Galaxy A35. I don't stream music ever and I hate the trend towards that and not "physical" data for things I've purchased. My songs never cut out if my data signal drops!

      1. Plus side is internal storage is increasing. Down side is expandable storage is increasing faster and remains far cheaper if you don't mind it being a lot slower.
