September 27, 2024: Mirror, Mirror

The boy wanted to take his school computer up to his room to "do his homework" (he can't do much on those things, but he can access YouTube). I told him no, the living room or kitchen was fine. He said, "Dad, I'll cast my screen, okay?" I thought for a moment, and said, yeah, sure. And so, he could sit comfortably in his room, and while he was likely also talking to his special lady friend, I could watch his computer on the living room TV to see he was at least still working on his math. The future is weird.

    1. Essentially same date last year, against Oakland, Wednesday night, Twins won the day before and won this game. Attendance was 20,520.

Total attendance last year was 1.974 million. So far, with three games to go, total attendance was 1.869 million. Add three more 15k games puts the team at a net loss of 60k fans compared to last year. 2022 had 1.801 million fans so still above that year.

      1. I didn't mean to include the tweet about the attendance. My main point is that they Twins had a letter to the public they basically they didn't do anything to make it true. Kind of like "this take didn't age well."

  1. Interesting story in the STRIB this morning about the Green Bus.

I hope David gets it done. I also hope someone puts a fundraising effort together. I'd give a few bucks.

    1. I have some insider on this and David's been trying to pawn that bus on MN DFL candidates for years. It needs LOTS of work. Not saying anything disparaging about David Wellstone or the bus, just that he's obviously now doing the "maybe some free publicity will help get this thing out of the garage" route now.

      1. Yes, holy crap.

Randle is very good, when healthy. I don't like his game, particularly, but he's good. Divincenzo is a nice piece. Good defender, energy guy and decent 3pt shooter.

I didn't hear from WCCO just now anything about a conditional first, but that would be nice as well.

    1. Yes. There are times he looks like a top ten player. Other times, he looks awful.

I just don't understand the KAT/Thibs dynamic. I thought Thibs hated him. Thibs was the one that basically let Jimmy crap all over him.

      1. I forgot about that angle.

WaPo story suggested that Randle's minutes and status were going to be threatened/limited by the acquisition of Mikal Bridges. KAT fills the void arising from Hartenstein's departure and Mitchell Robinson's foot problems.

I'm guessing that Thibs knows he needs an upgrade at 4/5 to deal with the likes of Embiid, and someone who can complement Brunson. Pick and roll, pick and pop.
