We certainly had a very gusty Halloween around here, though I'll take it over what I heard was going down in Minnesota.

It was nearly 70 °F for us so I had to walk around in shorts.
Despite an inch or so of slushy snow, we got 27 trick-or-treaters last night. I know because we got the box of 30 big bars from Costco and had three left.
We had at least 90
We had about 20, but that's typical for us. I will say that things seemed to wrap up early--I don't think we had anyone come to the door after about 7pm.
Same. We don't have school today (end of quarter), but kids still weren't out too late. I appreciate that.
About 70 kids - later start than usual, and quite warm out. Neighborhood goes dark around 7:45. Best costumes were an inflatable teddy bear, and what looked like Noah's ark.
It was cool here, but we still had 52 kids stop by (could have been a lot more if the kids turned up our cul-de-sac instead of rounding the corner; what's wrong with kids now days -- free candy!).
We leave today for north-central Arkansas to spend a quiet (rainy) week at a little lake resort while the rest of the country shouts at itself.
Where in Arkansas? I've got family in Northeast Arkansas, and did many summer vacations to the family's lake cabin* on Greers Ferry Lake.

I didn't keep count, but would guess we had around 50. Hung out in our shared driveway with our young neighbors, who have a 6-mo old. I made a batch of chili and we had hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps.
I was taking Rick out for TnTing a bit. I saw one family that was pulling a wagon. No kids in the wagon or anything, but there was a 1.75L bottle of Jack and twelver of Trulys. The wind was chilly enough to make me contemplate asking for a pull.
After growing up on a farm and not really caring much about trick or treating, it's been interesting to end up in "the neighborhood" in our city. It is indeed like an 80s movie with people walking around all over, parents with their thermoses, cars parked blocks away, etc. We're in a cul-de-sac and our count was around 420 (*snicker*). Our friends outside the cul-de-sac gave out 650 bags of popcorn (they give popcorn to children, hot chocolate to parents).
In other other declined option news, Jorge Polanco just had his option declined by the M's and is now a free agent.

NYT says CC Sabathia gets around 2-3000 visitors. Dude's neighborhood goes crazy for this.
Last night was the first Halloween in 10+ years that I did not hand out candy. I was working. I picked up my wife at the auto service center (dropping off her vehicle) at 7:30. As we were driving home she told me she did not get candy as we were getting home so late and kids would not be out. As we drove through the neighborhood, there were trick and treaters all over the place. We walked into the house and left all lights off as we ate our carry out dinner. I did not want to answer the doorbell empty handed. Our typical number would be 30-50 kids, but the way it looked last night, we may have gotten more.
This 4th quarter...oof.
And the comeback! Up one with 25 seconds left.
10 seconds. Rudy shooting FTs
Hits them both. Of course he did. Wolves win.
Nice end of game. 15-2 run.
