It was a decent weekend of college hockey for ranked Minnesota teams. The Gophers, #3 in the nation coming into the weekend, beat Wisconsin twice, both times by 3-2 scores with Saturday's game won in overtime. #1 Denver won both of their games so they'll stay perched atop the rankings. Boston College won Friday night and plays Maine today, so a loss could open enough of a lane for the Gophers to move up to the #2 spot. The SCSU Huskies swept Miami of Ohio pretty convincingly, they may have a shot at moving up this week after dropping two slots to #12 following a pair of tough, close losses to BC last weekend. Sitting at #16, Minnesota State won Friday but tied with St. Thomas after an overtime shootout last night, they will likely hold their position but I don't expect to see them move up at all this week. But I've been reminded recently in a big way that my prognostications are generally for shite, so there's that as well.
The commenters seem unconvinced.
General Soreness reporting for duty

I missed all of the Vikings game, but based on the score, looks like I didn’t miss much.
It was one of those wins you want to forget about right away.
