November 12, 2024: Safe Cracker

During our recent trip, the shower faucet in the hotel we were at had about a 1-2 cm range of acceptable temperature. Anything on either side of that range was burning hot or freezing cold.

  1. Saw the CoC title and before clicking decided there was maybe a 7% chance the post was going to be about allyship.

  2. Dave St. Peter is retiring to an "advisory role". Falvey taking over while keeping his baseball duties.

  3. I had a shower lately where the controls had about 3 degrees of acceptable range.

0(off, straight down) around to about 170 degrees going counter clockwise was freezung,

    171-174 was OK

175-180 (straight up, max) was boiling

  4. I dont know how to make a starter pack but maybe we can get the BlueSky account on one of them. Seems to be a decent amount of Twins fans on the site now.

      1. Thanks. This was helpful. bS I loved your header. I think you are the only person I know that liked and stayed on Mastodon.

  5. When I was a kid, one of the things I hated most about traveling was having to use an unfamiliar shower.

  6. I could tell a lot of hotel room stories, with whole chapters on plumbing, including multiple situations with leaks from the room above or toilet flushing that sounds like a tornado siren.
