Saturday the ol' HS took it to Leroy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli in 9-man state semifinals, and will be playing Hills-Beaver Creek in the finals on Saturday. Baby brother is the D coach for the team, which has had good success since (finally) dropping to 9-man a few years back.
I'm so old, I remember when they played 11-man and weren't merged with Lyle or with Leroy-Ostrander (both of which had their high schools and programs).
My godson is a JV tight end, but the varsity long snapper for Dassel-Cokato. Niblet and I went to the semifinal game against 1-seed Pequot Lakes last Saturday. It was an epic game, complete with a comeback by the Chargers, scoring a TD with 51 seconds to secure the lead and eventual win 29-26. They’re facing Stewartville this Saturday in the 3A Prep Bowl.
Lyle is a town of 500+ South of Spamtown on Hwy 218, just north of the Iowa border. Pacelli used to collab on sports with Southland HS in Adams, a few miles SE of Spamtown. Leroy (oops, "Le Roy")-Ostrander are small towns further east of Spamtown.
Fertile (pop 800) and Beltrami (pop 90) was one of the original hyphenated MN schools, from before they closed down Beltrami's elementary school in 1971 after my 4th grade year there. An inordinate amount of athletic prowess came out of the Beltrami farm families - at least back in the day.
The Alexandria Football squad is playing in the AAAAA final on Saturday as well. They play Elk River, who they lost to in the regular season. We have a 6'8" quarterback who is one of the Mr. Football finalists. He also signed to play basketball at Clemson next year.

I've never heard of half of these HS; Pacelli is a six hour drive from where I grew up.
