Went to the movie. Sat in the dark for twenty minutes. Went up front to see what's going on and was informed there was a problem with the projector so they were giving refunds.
No one ever badge to the theater to tell the customers. Such awful customer service.
Not sure what a day off is... but I'll take a long lunch, which is about as close as I get.
There are no classes today, but the university isn't closed. Lots of zoom meetings while I prep for Tuesday classes from home.
Our campus is fully closed, but I have plenty of grading and emails to get done today. Teaching asynchronous online classes this Winter term means every day is the same anyway.
I am working. Received a text at 7 am that our dining room was only 60 degrees. So, I had to run in early. Faulty gas valve on one of my rooftop HVAC units. Unfortunately, once the temp drops down to 60, it takes for.... ev....er for it to get back up to 72.
My thermostat right now is set at 61. Because 63 was "too hot," I was informed.
At home we keep the thermostat at around 65-66 during the winter months. That is usually warm enough for me as I usually wear a hoodie around the house. It's weird but, at the joint, 68 degrees feels cold.
I'm off, but I settled a case by text message yesterday (a first for me) that way scheduled for a hearing on Wednesday-Thursday a little north of Philo's neck of the woods. I just drafted and sent along the settlement agreement to get it locked down...
I'm the only one in the family working today. That's okay. Keep my mind occupied. And it's Younger Daughter's birthday today, so we'll be celebrating that with potato soup and cake this evening (her choice).
Well, the company is on a holiday, but one of the Polish companies we work with isn't, so I'm having fun in Teams meetings.
how you can use "fun" and "Teams" that way in a sentence confuses me
No school or work so I took the kids to the Science Center. Overnight snow delayed the opening by an hour but I think it also deterred people from visiting.
We were technically off today but I had to go into the office because nawlins may get 6 inches of snow tomorrow. People are losing their minds.
Are grocery stores cleared out of frozen pizzas? (Which I find to be such an odd thing to stock up on before a snowstorm.)
Went to a one-year old's birthday party next door on Saturday. Kid was like 36 hours past a fever and the barfs. His dad informed me yesterday that he came down with a fever Saturday night.
