I am genuinely thinking of trying to get to the Red Rocks show, since I've long wanted to see a concert in that venue too. In actual seriousness, would anyone 'round these parts be interested in such an event? It's possible there will be other dates closer, but... I kind of don't want to chance it.
Red Rocks is so cool and definitely a place to see a band you love. RK not my cup of tea, but definitely try to pull it off if possible. Also, Red Rocks isn't going anywhere and you may find, like me, it's a lot easier to do events like that once the kids are older and/or out of the house.
September 15! Make sure you dress warm, can get pretty chilly once the sun goes down. I learned that the hard way during an early May Isbell show at Red Rocks.
Rock cats flashback: NBBW and I are sitting stuck in thick traffic on Route 9 on the way to a game in New Britain, and I'm surfing the AM dial in my Subaru Forester (best car for New England, IMO).
I came across this Long Island NY station (WHLI 11am) which was playing The Italian House Party, a fun-filled program of Sinatra, Bennett, Darin, Franicis, Martin, et al. with birthday/anniversary annoucements, and adverts for plumbers, sheet-rock guys, caterers, etc. And Sicilian humor: So I'm in the kitchen with my buddy, and I'm making chicken, and handed my friend a gizzard. Then I held up another gizzard. I looked at him and asked, 'Know what we got here?" He looked at me quizzingly. I said, "A gizzadeach!"
It’s smack in the middle of the central business district. There are a bunch of bars and restaurants in the area and a major grocery chain right there. Your air bnb is likely a high rise condo building with little to no character but you’ll have access to the Saint Charles streetcar line, easy walk to the quarter - though at night you have to walk through some sketchy parts of the cbd -but it’s doable. You coming to town? Hit me up with an email and I can offer some recs.
I always think of the Rock Cats when I see signs for New Britain.
Your favorite Rock Cat...?
Allegiance already switched to the Yard Goats, so none.
PAST favorite
They became the Yard Goats in 2016 so maybe friendship not switched.
Considering the Rock Cats were a Twins affiliate for 20 years, all of those.
So there was this. And now there's this.

I'm going to try for the presale for Red Clay Strays.
I'm surprised at the lack of quality of the bands they get at Red Rocks.
My wife's sister and her hubby may take a trip with us to see the Red Clay Strays at Red Rocks
Got shut out at the presale today. Might try the regular sale tomorrow.

GA tix for Devo at the Palace are $100. Think I'll pass on that. I don't even think they have 75 minutes of songs to play live.
Red Rocks Cats?

Does anyone with New Orleans knowledge know if an Airbnb near the corner of Baronne and Gordo is a decent location?
I've never been to New Orleans.
Don't know where Gordo is. New Orleans can change by the block, so hard to say. Do you have another side street?
What the pirate said. Overheard at the bar, “I’m worried that my guests will complain because we’re charging 5k a night” for a midcity half shotgun.
∆ was in reference to this weekend for the Super Bowl. Which is nuts.
