We're having our usual Super Bowl party at the company house. There's a Mexican street corn "salsa" that everyone always requests I make, but it's a pain to make due to all the knife work. I'm thinking I'll make a buffalo chicken dip this year. Any go to favorite foods for you to make?

If you have a Costco membership, they've got a killer Mexican street corn dip that could save you the effort.
We aren't going to a party, but the plan is to have Superiority Burger's Fried Crispy Tofu Sandwich at home, which is favorite wth the whole family. (Recipe is from NYT Cooking site.)
Today I'm thinking of making a chocolate cake as an antidote to all the terrible news lately. It's exhausting.
Mrs. Twayn gets frequent requests for her taco dip and meat candy (Little Smokies wrapped in bacon, sprinkled with brown sugar). There's not much interest in the Super Bowl in our household this year so we may go see A Complete Unknown and gorge on popcorn and Junior Mints.
Elder Daughter has been doing book layouts and designs for more than a year now and she's very excited to be doing her first book with licensed art. It's a Toy Story cookbook with recipes based on the Pizza Planet menu.
That sounds cool. Good luck/congrats to her.
👏
Super Bowl Sunday for me will be working at the joint over lunch. We close at 2pm. At 4:30, we host our annual employee party across the street at the bowling alley/event center. Lots of prizes, a short speech and we usually empty the joint out about an hour after the game ends. It is nice that they close the entire place for my group. We usually end up with around 100 attendees. This will be a year I don't pay attention to the game at all as I have zero interest in either team.
Emeril's jalapeno crab dip.
Just went to Walbaum's to get grocs before Winter Storm Garnett dumps 5" on CT (originally starting at 7PM, now it's saying 10pm). And more to come later this week. 16oz can of lump crab meat was $23.49 yikes. Just like crab cakes the trick is to not overmix.
I suppose I should look to see who's playing in the Super Bowl tomorrow...
I was ogling seafood at the grocery store yesterday. King crab was $55.99 a pound. Guy behind the counter asked if he could help me. I said maybe, do you have financing available for the king crab? He said I know, right?
We have a standing Saturday night dinner with our New Orleans family (friends who are close enough to be and their 8 year old). I had kind of a rough day punctuated by Super Bowl related traffic/ cops/military presence (!makes us safe¡).
We got to their house just as their dog had a major medical emergency- no coming back for our boyo. We sat in their hallway with their pet drawing her last breaths and tried to find a way to comfort our people. Such an emotional event. Hug your people and hold your pets tight.
