I think with the recent snows, Illinois finally has received more snow than Florida.

Just finished plowing the driveway/shoveling walks after Winter Storm Jett - wouldn’t that be fun if they auctioned off storms ("Jett is the Dairy Queen Bomb Cyclone!" - in Gordo's voice).
Gotta take the sticker off my new Ghetto Shovel. Duct tape was only gonna work for so long on the last one.
Reminds me I have to take off the sticker on the Chicago Tea rose I planted by the house (Ghetto Rose).
Honestly, I'm on the fence about working this year. If it's just going to be the current owners not investing in the team that's kind of a hard sell for me. The work commitment involves about 250 hours, and that's a lot of time moonlighting that could be spent on leisure.
He suffered a heel injury midseason so it's thought/hoped fully healing from that will bring back his first half performance (103 wRC+) rather than the second half (76 wRC+). But that doesn't mean much for the fielding part where he's at best below average.
I just think it's too early in Miranda's career to conclude he can't hit left-handers. But even if I conceded that, it would be a justification for platooning him, not for giving France the full-time job.
I guess I can understand hoping the dude takes over at first base. Yay!
I don't get guaranteeing the spot to a guy you signed for $1 MM. Like…surely this is a flier and he should earn his way to that spot? Especially as a nearly-no-defense position player.

It’s true; his .671 OPS against southpaws only dropped off to .670 against right-handers last season.
Oooooooof. Not gonna lie, not really looking forward to this season.

Again, I don't understand the reluctance to play Jose Miranda at first base.
Miranda's slash line vs lefties last year (226/250/323) might be one reason.
Career, it's. 248/.277/.407. That's not great, but I like his chances to improve better than those of Ty France.

Plus he's right-handed, so having reverse splits that extreme is untenable. He will improve.
