We moved to our office at the beginning of 2018, I believe it was. Since then, we've lost a chunk of people (one division was moved to a subsidiary and then out of the office altogether) and moved to a hybrid work from home schedule. As such, we've got a lot of space that we no longer need, so they've been looking for a new location. This building (which is still a candidate to stay in if they can rework the lease to their liking) is low on amenities. One of the candidate office looks really nice though. I'm trying to put my thumb on the scale for that one.

The Drake men play tonight at 6:45 Central.
I'm wearing my McCollum outfit today.
The daughter is studying abroad and not in attendance (pep band), but I'll still be watching.
(It's interesting how Darian DeVries failed up to get the Indiana job. I realize his son's injury contributed to West Virginia's mediocre season, but it's still delicious that WV didn't make the tourney.)
WV got screwed. Absolutely deserved to get in.
The governor agrees with you.
The Selection Committee is Woke.
I've completely lost interest in the NCAA bb tournament. Was a time I did research, read tip sheets, etc., and actually won some brackets. Now, I still do the brackef but just auto-selected all the top seeds. I'm super busy these next couple of day so even doubtful I'll watch any games. I will pay attention of course and will know if top seeds get bounced, will see highlights of last second winning buckets, and probably even watch some of the later round games if nothing else is going on but at this point it's just background to me. Not begrudging anyone who is still super involved, it's more fascinating how something just kinda fades away on a personal level.
Soon as Drake's out, there goes my interest
You're at least watching one more game!
This is largely how I feel about the twins and baseball in general. I pay some attention, but most of my knowledge of the team comes from y’all. Once upon a time I spent all winter on pins and needles waiting for the season to start. Doesn’t help that I live in a baseball desert.
That's one wet desert...
I'm not quite as far down that road as you, but I've been heading there the past few years. I'm also the person in charge of setting up the pool for everyone else among my friends and family group, so that has kept me going. But I definitely care a lot less than I used to about "fun" things.
I'm finding this in lots of areas though, and I'm wondering if it's just a product of age or maturity or something else altogether. I used to watch the Oscars and have opinions and want to see movies and such... that has faded greatly, and this year I completely didn't care. I'm way less into various video games and such too. I don't know... maybe I'm just not searching for distraction as much any more. Or maybe this has more to do with the state of the world than it does me personally?
The five minutes I spent filling out the brackef and the periodic checking of results the next several days is the most enjoyment I get out of basketball each year, so thanks for keeping things going here each March.
Yeah, this is where I'm at. It's never really been a draw for me, so I can't lament this fading away. Plenty of other things instead though.
Like others are expressing, I feel much the same way. About this, about baseball, about video games, about TV shows, just about everything. To some degree it's freeing, because I care less about teams I don't like getting far. I'm trying to just enjoy the competition in general and worry less about rivalries (especially since I don't really have a dog in the fight, having gone to a non-Division I school)
Over the last couple years, I had been making a tradition of travelling down to STL to see friends, play board games, etc while the games were going on in the background. This year though circumstances were such that I wasn't able to make it happen, but it is for a good cause. My wife is heading out of town to help my son and his wife and their new daughter. Yep, I'm officially a grandpa now.
Congratulations!
w00t! Congrats!
WGOM: TNG.
Congrats, Poopaw!
Congrats
Congrats!
Congratulations to you and all of your family!
Congrats!! Here's a grandpa joke for you:
My grandfather started walking 10 miles every day on his 65-year-old birthday and now he is 95.
No one knows where he is.
I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandpa. Not screaming like the other people in his car.
Heh to both.
Three DPs in the first four innings tonight -- the boys are hitting the ball! Incredibly, the lone Twins run wasn't scored on a DP (it was on an error, so TWINS BASEBALL!!)
Please indulge my gloating for the half hour or so that my bracket somehow happens to sit in first place. Things should inevitably return to normal shortly...
