Usually if we're running around outside our usual habitat, we tend to be pretty quickly in and out. However when we do have a few extra moments, it's always cool to find something we didn't know was there, but was awesome to see.

This is the last time, I swear!
Cheers to a staple in my beer fridge
I like the Nordeast but old habits are hard to break. I've been drinking Grain Belt Premium since 1977 when we moved to Minnesota. The drinking age went up to 19 that year on July 1 but I had turned 18 in April so I got grandfathered in. I played softball that summer with my two older brothers and a bunch of guys they worked with. After every game we'd hit the muni and put down a few pitchers. Grain Belt was preferred but sometimes they'd run specials on pitchers of Schmidt so we'd go with that to save a few bucks.
Been a while since I messed with any genealogy digging, and since then the 1940 and 1950 US census have been released. I've enjoyed capturing parents/grandparents/great-grandparents families of Mrs Runner and me.
If you have anyone in particular you'd like me to try find from either census, let me know names and as specific a location as you can, and I'd be happy to take a shot at it...
Looks like the Twins won't be able to sign Vlad Jr.
It's fine -- he can't pitch anyway
I hate the feeling of resignation when the local 9 are down by
aany number of runs… It’s too early in the season for GOSO, but my goodness does it feel like that already. Pinch hit the .063 catcher with the .167 2nd baseman … sureIs it just me or is all college men’s basketball as bad as has been displayed in this second half?
