With as incessant all of the news, mock picks, etc. about the NFL draft has been, I thought it was in a couple days or something. It's not until the end of the month.

Well, I played in and lost my first ever league playoff game as a skip on Monday. It was a good back and forth game that came down to the last shot as can be seen below, which will be a very interesting shot to watch for those that know the sport.
For local MSP folks, I have one extra FREE ticket to the Linda Lindas at the Fine Line this coming Saturday, April 12th if anyone is interested. I can even transfer the ticket to you if you don't want to hang with me and some friends up front.
Let me know and we can work out the details off line.
I think the Twins need to stop this trend of losing very winnable games to division rivals. It's basic strategery.
I also don't think it's a solid plan to lose a lot of games early in the season versus the tactic last year of losing lots of games late in the season.
Wasn't last year's tactic to do both of those things?
They can't even execute THAT successfully
If you are intent on selling the team to float the money needed to prop up your failing business empire, wouldn’t the basic strategy be to try and sign some players (on contracts you’ll never pay) and signal to potential buyers that the franchise will be a good draw for your new streaming subscription and is acting to reverse the slide at the gate due to past mismanagement?
I think the opposite - a team that is ready for rebuilding is probably more appealing to someone who is looking to buy such a large, long-term asset/investment. If the near-future approach is tied up in certain players and contracts a new owner's hands are tied in a way they might not want them to be.
Sure. They’re willing to look like the bad guys to make the new guys look good.
Yeah, like every time a new CEO is appointed, they have to axe someone else at the top to "put their stamp on things" or whatever. By not making any moves, the Twins maximize flexibility for the potential buyers. That's why I think they are going to be stuck doing the absolute bare minimum until the team gets sold, which will be painful for the fans.
which will be painful for the fans.
Who the current ownership clearly do not care for.
Yeah, to be clear I do not endorse this strategy, I just figure that’s what the Pohlads are going for.
