  1. Quite the day for Minnesota professional sports:

Twins at Orioles - 2 games
    Wolves game 5 against Warriors
    Frost Game 3 against Sceptres
    Loons at Dynamos

  2. I'm curious how tall my youngest will get. He's the only one that has maintained a similar percentile height as I did, though I was taller at his age. He's nearly the same size as the middle child and I expect him to be larger within a couple years.

    1. I'm like 1/8th an inch taller than my little brother, small enough it depends on who is wearing what shoes (if any) on who appears taller.

It's a running joke in the family that he insists he's taller even though he isnt

  3. My oldest passed me a few years ago, and was on pace to be average height or higher, but then suddenly just stopped, so he's like 5'7" and probably done growing at 15. Of course, if his legs weren't so bowed he'd be another inch or two taller...

  4. My newly 14-year-old passed my wife in height about 6 months ago, and is very fond of reminding her of that fact. He's in the middle of a huge growth spurt, and is getting disturbingly close to catching me, too. He just got new shoes that are bigger than I wear, so that may be coming as some point.

I assume he will catch me, but may not actually end up any taller. Me, my brother, my dad, my uncle, and my grandpa are/were all 5'10" so I've always figured my kids would end up that same height, too. I guess we'll see!

  5. The Trinket passed my wife in height last year. She's also really into volleyball, so I'm hoping she's got a few more inches left in her. Anything could happen, but I think my status as "#1 reacher of high shelves" is safe as the Bauble got off to s small start made worse by a UTI when he was 2 weeks old, so it took him awhile to even get on the growth chart.

    1. 'Course, I'm also the shortest of me and my brothers at 6'0" (but I'm the strongest) and we're all taller than my dad so there is some height in the family.

      1. I'm 6' and have a couple inches on the wife. I've got about 3-4" on my dad, but her dad has about 2-3" inches on me (though her mom is like 5'), so he's got some height in his blood. I know Pete's still got a few more inches in him at least so we'll see where he ends up. Rick is tall for his age too, so we keep telling him to eat his vegetables if he wants to overtake Pete.

  6. The jalapeno reached my height (5'6") when he was a sixth grader, and he's now measuring nearly 6'2" so he's unquestionably the tallest in both our immediate family and the extended family.

He got injured while playing soccer in gym class last week, falling hard and catching himself on his hands, which resulted in breaking bones in both of his elbows (!!), so he's currently no good at reaching for anything on a high shelf. (Miraculously, neither arm needs a cast.)
