Batting stars: Sean Burroughs was 3-for-4. Clete Thomas was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk. Brian Dinkelman was 2-for-5.
Pitching star: Luke French gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and four walks in seven innings.
Opposition stars: Tuffy Gosewisch was 2-for-5 with two doubles. Kevin Frandsen was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks. John Suomi was 2-for-4 with a double.
Key inning: The eighth. Trailing 5-2, the IronPigs scored three times to tie it up. They used two singles, a catcher's interference, and a double. Pete Orr drove in two with a single and Gosewisch doubled in the tying run.
Other: Gosewisch also doubled in the winning run in the tenth.
NEW BRITAIN 8, TRENTON 4 IN NEW BRITAIN
Batting stars: Aaron Hicks was 3-for-5. Chris Colabello was 2-for-4 with a triple. James Beresford was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in three.
Pitching star: Daniel Turpen struck out three in two shutout innings. He allowed one hit and also walked three.
Opposition stars: Addison Maruszak was 2-for-4 with a home run. David Adams was 2-for-2 with a home run and two walks. Kelvin Perez worked two perfect innings.
Key inning: The third. The Thunder scored in the top of the inning to tie the game at two. The first three Rock Cats reached to load the bases. A force out scored one and back-to-back doubles by Estarlin De Los Santos and Beresford brought in three more. Hicks singled in the fifth run of the inning to give New Britain a 7-2 lead.
FORT MYERS 5, CHARLOTTE 0 IN FORT MYERS
Batting stars: Levi Michael andKyle Knudsonwere each 2-for-4 with a double.
Pitching stars: Matthew Hauser struck out four in five innings, giving up two hits and a walk. A. J. Achter struck out four in two perfect innings. Michael Tonkin struck out three in two innings, allowing a hit and a walk.
Opposition star: George Jensen worked three shutout innings of relief.
Key inning: The first. The Miracle scored all five of its runs. Knudson followed a pair of singles with a two-run double. Josmil Pinto walked, then Jairo Perez and Daniel Rams each hit RBI singles. An Angel Morales sacrifice fly brought in the fifth run.
CLINTON 6, BELOIT 3 IN BELOIT
Batting stars: Jonathan Goncalves was 1-for-2 with two walks. Steven Liddle was 1-for-3 with a homer (his first) and a walk.
Pitching star: Tim Atherton struck out four in three shutout innings, giving up only one hit.
Opposition stars: Anthony Phillips was 3-for-4 with a double and a homer, driving in three. Ramon Morla was 2-for-4 with a double. Jeremy Dobbs gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks in 5.1 innings.
Key inning: The fifth. The Snappers had scored in the fourth to cut the lead to 3-2. Phillips led off the fifth with a home run to give the LumberKings an insurance run. Beloit would never get within one again.
PULASKI 9, ELIZABETHTON 1 IN ELIZABETHTON
Batting stars: Jorge Polanco was 1-for-4 with a double. Stephen Wickens was 1-for-2 with a walk.
Pitching star: Zachary Jones struck out two in a perfect inning.
Opposition stars: Jabari Henry was 2-for-4 with a home run. Tyler Marlette was 2-for-5. Jochi Ogando allowed one run on four hits and a walk in seven innings.
Key inning: The fifth. Trailing 1-0, the Mariners scored seven times, all after the first two batters went out. The inning went walk, single, error, walk, double, error, single, wild pitch, single. All but the last single came off Hudson Boyd, who had given up only one hit and no walks coming into the inning.

Pitching star: Markus Solbach worked a perfect inning.
Opposition stars: Deiner Lopez was 2-for-4 with a double. Mario Alcantara allowed a run on five hits and two walks in five innings.
Key inning: The fourth. With the score tied at one, the Red Sox had two on and two out. Jacoby Ellsbury, in the GCL on a rehab assignment, doubled in the go-ahead run.
Other: The Red Sox scored exactly one run in four consecutive innings and in five of the nine innings.

Batting stars: Ernesto Ciprian was 2-for-2 with two walks. Victor Arias was 2-for-5 with a double.
Pitching star: Junior Subero worked seven shutout innings, giving up four hits and a walk.
Opposition star: Wilson Soriano was 2-for-3 with a walk.
Key inning: The third. The score was tied at zero. With two on and one out, Adonis Pacheco delivered an RBI double to put the Twins in front. A passed ball gave them an insurance run. They gradually stretched the lead out after that.
