I took another look at the grass yesterday afternoon and I decided it could wait for a while. I did go to the gym and did my cycling workout. I am kind of bored with that, but I think it is an effective weight loss exercise, so I'll stick with that for now. I am looking forward to adding variety to my gym workouts and I think I'll start doing that in another 30 pounds. For now, I'm content to keep doing the same routine and keep progressing to the goal.
Day 59
Weight: 252.0
Total Loss: 32.5
Last 30 days: 17.8
Deadlifts yesterday: 5x20(kg), 5x40, 5x55, 5x65, 12x70. I had to reset pretty low on these a couple months ago, but I've been happy with my progress on them. They are still nothing to write home about, but it took me a while to do them properly in the first place. A circuit of sled drag, box jumps, and sandbag carry for conditioning. Jump rope practice: 10 sets of 20 consecutive jumps. Pull-ups: 4 singles.
yea to proper form!
One of the biggest reasons I'm considering some sort of trainer is the fact I'm 100% sure I have terrible form and my lifting is probably inefficient at best, counter-productive or increasing my injury potential at worst.
My workout today consisted of carrying my bike back 2 miles from the gym after I popped a tube sliding off the curb. I took a turn a little sharp and then "pop". Of course the van is in the shop, so there was no vehicle available to come get it. I was so pissed at myself I couldn't even go inside, so I just started to tromp home. Bright side is the rim isn't bent.
St. Joseph College track 6x600's with 200 jog between. Good stuff. Today nikto/nada. Tomorrow 12 miles. Wish me luck pallys!
I finally broke down and bought a race water belt. Dude at Fleet Feet said 1st mile sux but then its nothing. We'll see.
light workout today (1 mile walk on the treadmill; kickboxing routine and stretching). Then I got to drive to the music store to pony up $150 for repairs/maintenance on the saxophone we are borrowing from a friend for the Girl to use. w00t.
On the Grillon the stove/in the oven tonight: roasted brussels sprouts, pan-roasted sweet potatoes, and leftover green chile chicken.
