I had one of those days yesterday where the best thing to do is just forget about it. I ended up not exercising, I didn't stick to the diet, and I was pissed off about work. My diet straying wasn't terrible in that I ate foods that were good for me, just more than I might have wanted. Basically, I cannot have almonds near me or I'll eat all of them. I went back to mom and dad's last night and I didn't exercise. Pfft.
I woke up this morning thinking that today is another day. I'll focus on doing my best today and let the chips fall where they may. I had a conversation yesterday about whether a break in the diet might be a good thing. I did a little research and it seems that it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a week or 10 days, move up to a sustainable calorie amount, and then come back refreshed and ready to go again. I am so close to finishing, but at the same time, I see the finish line moving out further because I'm slowing down. A 10-day break might be just what the doctor ordered. I am contemplating maybe taking that break (i.e., adding the calories) when I'm back home working out regularly. Today, I feel like I'm good to go with the diet plan. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Day 143
Weight: 224.0
Total Loss: 60.5
I had an odd dream last night about the conference asking me to move to Ortonville, Minnesota. I get why moving might be on my mind, because this is the time of year pastors and churches fill out the forms stating whether they want a change. There's very little chance I'll be moved--it's only my second year here and both the parish and I are asking that I stay--but it's never no chance. What I don't understand is how my subconscious came up with Ortonville, Minnesota. I've never been there, I don't know anyone there, there's no reason it would've been on my mind, and it's not even in our conference anyway. I guess the mind is a funny thing sometimes.
By the way, winter league reports will be a little delayed today, but they are coming. I don't like it when life gets in the way of baseball, but sometimes it does.
These LTEs were obviously put in the wrong place. That's what happens when I sleep in.
