Game summary: Magallanes scored three in the third to take a 3-1 lead. Lara cut it to 3-2 in the bottom of the third and tied it in the seventh. Pablo Sandoval homered with one out in the eighth to restore the lead for Magallanes.

Magallanes: Sergio Perez gave up two runs on six hits and a walk in 6.1 innings. Elvis Andrus (Texas) was 3-for-4 with a double and scored a run.
