  1. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but Harold Reynolds makes Joe Buck sound downright likeable.

      1. It's probably because he has a stupid sounding voice that accentuates his stupid sounding words.

    1. I told y'all that the problem wasn't McCarver, but Buck.
      But you didn't believe me.
      Why didn't you believe me?

      1. Oh, the problem was McCarver, too. The fact that they managed to find someone even worse to replace him is an impressive feat, but it doesn't make McCarver better.

        1. Listening to those old World Series, McCarver had good things to say, but his most recent broadcast partner let him spout triteness.
Basically, I blame Buck for McCarver's slide. Buck didn't care, why should McCarver?

Jon Miller made Joe Morgan a pleasant enough voice despite the things he actually said being contradictory or ridculous when typed out (hence FJM).
I think Miller could have kept McCarver as a much brighter broadcaster than he became when partnered with Buck.

          1. My problem with McCarver was not that he lacked knowledge of baseball. My problem with McCarver is that he'd make the same point eleventy billion times. He just would not shut up. I'll concede that a better partner might have helped with that, but that doesn't leave McCarver blameless.

  2. How many times are they going to show Escobar's strikeout? *rewinds and counts*

    Replays: 2
    Replays with pretty overlays: 2
    Slow motion replays: 1

    1. You could mention how annoying everyone's voice is like I've been doing. (I'm glad Verducci is terrible because I dislike his writing as well.)
