Keys to the Game: Score more runs than the other team!
This will never fail to bring about victory. You are welcome for this deep insight.

WGOM: TNG Caucus update.
Fun times had by all, nice to meet you, rpz, and all of the xxzs, too.
Nice meeting the Pepperoncito and... ?, Pepper.
Cool Park, LBR wants to go back already.
Cribbage update:
rpz beat AMR in game 1, AMR making a valiant effort to catch up from an early defecit, and could have gone out with a good hand. 4 pts was not good enough, only got him to 114. rpz needed 3, had many more plus a crib to go.
Games 2 and 3 (if neccessary) will be played online at a later date.
My sources say all of this is true.
Impressive development of the microdot, Agent Pepper. This image makes me happy.
The xxz's very much enjoyed themselves, also. There were many requests to meet up with "our new friends" throughout the day.
It was our pleasure to meet both families!
Missed opportunity to call them the xyz's
My uncles spent tons of time as kids trying to convince my grandmother for a Xena Yvonne or something similar. It's probably a good thing that there aren't many good x names.
For a long time, I was seriously considering Zebulon Alexander (it may be good that I only have girls).
but they're his wife and daughters!
Ex-Twin Carl Willis said to be the next Boston pitching coach.
Interesting. The Red Sox are hiring the Twins' reject. (He was the runner-up to Neil Allen).
People are stupid. The Little League sends out group texts to managers. It seems like almost every time I get one, I get at least one more from someone who replies to the entire group instead of to just the sender. Half the time it is someone just replying "OK" to the message sent. It wouldn't be so annoying except that the texts are sent as picture files and I don't have a smartphone, so it can take a while for me to download each text plus it eats into my data plan. Today, I am waiting to find out if we have a game today after the field was flooded yesterday. They've canceled this morning's games, but we have one at 3. I got three texts a little while ago. I of course was thinking it would be an update on the rest of the day but it was just some moron responding to an earlier text asking for an update, getting a response of "we haven't made that decision yet" and a response back of "OK." It took about 15 minutes to find out exactly nothing.
Agreed that people are stupid. Every so often, I get an email at work that was clearly sent to a larger group than necessary (for example, the entire company). Then, I get to watch as countless people reply all saying "please take me off this mailing list". Then I get another flood of people replying all, "don't reply to all, you're just clogging up people's mailboxes".
At least in my case, I can set up an email filter...
I am constantly telling people with large distribution lists to please put the email addresses in the bcc: field instead, not only so that I don't get all the replies, but also so my email address isn't harvested on other people's infected PCs and sent spam.
Making pocketed dinners is exhausting. Potstickers last night and empanadas tonight.
I have pocketed lunches all the time. Of course, Hot Pockets are a lot easier to "make" since you just have to warm them up in the microwave.
I floated the idea of making hot pockets from scratch because that sounds way delicious.
I'm so old I remember when those were called calzone.
heh.
Trey gave up just 3 runs in 3 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts, 3 walks and 2 hits allowed and he also had an RBI double to lead the Newmark Diamondbacks to a 5-4 win over the Cardinals on Saturday. At least three of his strikeouts came on changeups, including two that were called.
Extra innings in Fort Myers. This is the 30th game of the season for the Miracle, and the eleventh time they've gone into extra innings.
They love playing so much they just don't want the games to end.
Kohl Stewart, selected fourth overall by the Twins in 2013, has been cleared to pitch, Twins director of minor leagues Brad Steil said, and will start Monday’s game for Class A Fort Myers against Dunedin. The righthander was on the disabled list after experiencing irritation in his pitching elbow, but no structural damage was found.
Hunter also had an interesting theory as to where all this two-striking hitting is coming from. Brunansky deserves his credit, of course, but Hunter thinks Joe Mauer deserves some, too.
"With two strikes, we try to bear down and have good at-bats and give ourselves a chance," Hunter said. "I think everybody does a great job of doing that on this ballclub, but it starts with Mauer. Mauer has great at-bats and it just trickles down like a domino effect. It's kind of contagious when you have a guy like Mauer up there battling at the plate, then the next guy wants to do the same thing. Right now we have that domino effect going, and it's a good thing."
Oh, and this is the anniversary of the first preznit-declared Mothers' Day (1914).

I wonder sometimes just how dumb baseball broadcasters think we are. I'm watching Kansas City-Detroit, and here were their "keys to the game".
"Detroit: Get to Royals bullpen."
Gee willikers! You mean the Tigers want to score runs against the Royals starter so they have to use relief pitchers? What insight!
"Kansas City: Solve Sanchez"
Glorioski! You mean the Royals want to score runs against the Tigers starter, too? Who'd a thunk it?
I liked this Keys to the Game more

Yay, Trey!
Found this. Found it amusing.
