  1. Le menu at Chez Hayes this evening: Grilled chicken kebabs marinated in Greek yoghurt, cayenne, Hungarian sweet paprika, tomato paste, garlic, white wine vinegar, and sliced lemons. Fresh-picked green beans with butter-stewed shallots. Jasmine rice. And a nice bottle of this, picked up on our recent trip to Akron.

        1. sean can get you set up to post, Bo. You've been sucking on the teat here long enough. 'bout time you started contributing as a bona fide author 🙂

            1. Since Spoons already gave you authorship privileges, when you're writing your tantalizing post, you can easily add images. Just above the writing area, you'll see "Upload/Insert" with some images to its right. The first one looks sort of like a picture and that's how you can add images. Click it and you'll be presented with a way to upload images that will automatically be inserted in your post. Rearrange to fit the narrative and then either publish it, or schedule it for lunch time the following day to make everyone drool until they can make it for dinner.

  2. Dick n Bert had less bad things to say about the possible murder on the mound than they did about the Twins rotation.

        1. baked potatoes, sauteed broccoli, leftover grilled chicken, salad and iced tea. And a North Coast Black Hart Irish Dry Stout.

    1. Only 8 more days until we can start working on "Get to Know 'Em" again!!!!111one111!!

  3. I haven't been to ND in three weeks. Tomorrow AM, I'm heading out, which means I'm heading to bed early.

            1. Every time I opened a pack of '89 Topps, I hoped for a Twin. I almost always got Randy St. Claire.

By the by, don't image search "Randy St. Claire" with safe search off.

                1. One of the only two kids I ever had to fire was named Adam Johnson. I wanted to say, "It's not your fault. It's just a loser name you've got."

            1. can't be Adam Johnson's. I don't think anybody with the big club got enough of a sniff to be able to identify. How about Willie Banks'?

  4. I'm thinking that maybe a WGOM outing to Target Field could happen. Stub hub should have plenty of cheap tix in September.

    1. Have a trip planned to Minny 'round Taco Daze in Scandia (8/9-11) for this Boyo. Let me know if would work with WGOMery.

      1. Twins not in town then, which may be a blessing. I'm sure that I will be in town and I'm sure that a few of us oldsters would love to hang out for awhile.

  5. I am happy that I decided not to turn on the mlb.com radio tonight. I can blithely ignore the results and focus on FOOD.

    1. tuesday is the night Dr. Chop teaches late so we had boca taco (not really inspiring), but tomorrow will feature baking a loaf of soda bread and making a heap of spring rolls featuring spicy tofu.

      1. ooh. What's your recipe for spicy tofu?

I made a stirfry a few nights ago with green beans, mushrooms and deep-fried tofu. Big hit with the chill'n.

        1. I toss tofu spears with red chili sesame oil and a few drops of sriracha, pan fry with garlic, salt and pepper. More sriracha if that's how the day is going.

      1. I sent pat a print in the mail, and he sent me a signed baseball and a note explaining that the print matched his basement. I enjoyed the hell out of that.

          1. That was early in his career with the Twins. The next year I sent him two more in return for two more baseballs for my brothers.

  6. i saw that earlier in the game we had something like 41 users online, but 18 were bots. well, it seems like even the bots got sick of this game.

  7. man, the only way this gamelog could get at all spirited is if I spilled hard liquor on the laptop.

I have a good book waiting for me; think I'll call it a night (not like I was paying attention to the game as it was)

  8. So season ticket package F continues its wonderful luck of seeing a whole lot of Butera and the Dunce. The package has had ONE game in which the Twins won so far this season (and I believe only one game of Joe Mauer starting at catcher). That's amazing.
