Couple of fun wins from the Wild and Wolves last night. I think I heard though that this was the 7th straight two goal lead the Wild have blown. Not a good sign as we head into the dreaded 2nd half.

The “humblebrag”—a boast couched in a self-deprecating comment—has migrated from subtext to text, leaving self-awareness passed out in the bathroom behind the potted plant.

And a Friday night!
Once again I shut down all my open work sessions at the end of the work day and reboot my VPN in order for software to update, and once again I'm stuck here the next morning waiting for a LAN tech to get it back up and running so I can get something done. The worst part of working remotely is being unable to give the server a good swift kick.
I am not looking forward to having to deal with our VPN every day.
Yeah, it's a pain in our company when working remotely. Even with the VPN, accessing our file server is downright impossible.
I reboot maybe every 6 weeks or so, and it's about a 50/50 whether it comes back up in a timely manner or not. Currently I'm being told it's an old VPN and they're rebuilding a new one for me, which to me translates to "prepare for all your settings to be lost, as well as most of your files"
Reeducation, or virtue signaling?
When in doubt, assume signalling.
RIP, Butch Trucks.
But no mention of Mary Tyler Moore.
Should I walk up Nicollet Mall to her statue? Is there a vigil?
You mean the one that looks nothing like her?
she wasn't dead when I posted about Trucks!
Honestly, I thought she was older than 80. The MTM show had quite a cast. And how about that ending: everyone is fired but Ted Baxter. Ha!
I assumed younger because Ed Asner is only 87.
Doc, you may get kick out of this. (The coach's kid freshman he talks about is my nephew.)
"hot-shooting". Nobody ever talked about me that way. 😉
wait, what? the coach is your brother?
Yeah, he's been the varsity coach for about 10 years. This will be his first son playing for him. He has a 5th grader who is gonna be a baller, too.
Since Dec. 13, the Wolves are 11-10. #babysteps
