Minor Details: Games of June 9

Not much offense for the Red Wings, again.  Omar Bencomo has another fine game for the Lookouts.  Luis Arraez stays hot for the Miracle, but it wasn't enough.  The Kernels get blanked.  The DSL Twins win the first half of the game but lose the second half.

DURHAM 3, ROCHESTER 1 IN ROCHESTER

Micah Johnson's RBI single in the sixth broke a 1-1 tie.  A sacrifice fly brought home an insurance run in the eighth.

Willians Astudillo was 2-for-3.  LaMonte Wade made his AAA debut and went 0-for-4.  Nick Gordon was 0-for-4 and is batting .301.  The Red Wings had five hits, all singles.

It was a bullpen game for Rochester.  D. J. Baxendale started and struck out five in 3.2 innings, giving up one run on two hits and three walks.  Gabriel Moya struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk.  His ERA is 2.11.

CHATTANOOGA 7, MONTGOMERY 4 IN MONTGOMERY

Edgar Corcino hit a two-run triple in a three-run first and the Lookouts led all the way.  It was 7-1 through eight.  The Biscuits scored three in the ninth but did not bring the tying run up to bat.

Brian Navarreto was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.  Chris Paul was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.  James Ramsey was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, his second.

Omar Bencomo pitched eight innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks and striking out three.  His ERA is 1.94.

DUNEDIN 6, FORT MYERS 4 IN FORT MYERS

It was 6-0 before the Miracle got on the board with three in the eighth.  They added one more in the ninth and had the tying run in scoring position with two out.

Luis Arraez was 3-for-5.  He is 11-for-19 (.579) in his last five games.  Ben Rortvedt made his high-A debut, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.  Brandon Lopez was 2-for-5.

Andro Cutura pitched five innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts.

WISCONSIN 4, CEDAR RAPIDS 0 IN WISCONSIN

Trevor Morrison hit a three-run double in the third the TimberRattlers added a run in the fifth.  The Kernels had just four hits.

Royce Lewis was 2-for-4 with a double.  Alex Kirilloff was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .321.

Edwar Colina struck out six in five innings but allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks.  Carlos Suniaga pitched two shutout innings, giving up two walks and striking out one.  Jared Finkel struck out two in a perfect inning.

DSL METS1 8, DSL TWINS 5 AT TWINS

The Twins led 3-1 after four, but the Mets1 scored in each of the last five innings, building an 8-3 lead before the Twins finally got two more in the ninth.  Wilmy Valdez hit a two-run double in the sixth to bring home the tying and lead runs.

Brahiap Carrillo was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs.  He is batting .375.  Victor Heredia was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.  He is batting .409.  Luis Gomez was 2-for-5 with a double and is batting .360.

Jesus Toledo pitched 4.1 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk and striking out four.
