Wait, which kind of End Of Days does this signify again?
From yesterday's #IceBridge flight: A tabular iceberg can be seen on the right, floating among sea ice just off of the Larsen C ice shelf. The iceberg's sharp angles and flat surface indicate that it probably recently calved from the ice shelf. pic.twitter.com/XhgTrf642Z

Derek Shelton's philosophy on managing.
On Sunday night I tried to visit my brother at the U of M hospital (he's got CF, is in for an issue related to that). I was heading East on 94 from St. Paul, and the Huron exit was backed up onto the freeway, so I bypassed and went around to the 10th avenue bridge. I turned right on University and... was promptly stuck in traffic for literally an hour. We moved about a mile and a half in that hour. And then I literally could not turn to go to the hospital because that road was closed in order to help the flow of traffic.
Apparently there was a Loons game.
Is traffic always that bad for events at TCF Stadium? Who designed that traffic flow? At one point we all had to merge left so that a parking ramp could empty out, then 95% of traffic was trying to merge right, directly into the newly added ramp traffic, so that people could get to 94. It seemed like a horrible design. What was the thought process there?
"Apparently there was a Loons game."
Heh.
The answer to your question is, "Yes." Traffic is always awful around TCF during an event.
I don't understand why traffic was backed up getting off of 94. The game was almost done, and that was the opposite flow of traffic!
Construction? 94 is a mess around there. So is 35w.
No construction on 94 itself, and it was just the Huron exit into the East Bank area that was backed up (all the other lanes were flowing well). Maybe there was some construction just off the exit too? Either way... ugh.
Adding TCF Bank and light rail have made the area much less driveable.
So I got the World Series Game Log for tonight correct?
We won't really know if you have it correct until we can see it. 😛
Don’t worry, I take the half-baked credo very seriously.
Is it weird that I think a rookie playing his 3rd game might be a better fit than a certan max contract guy for this Wolves team?
While I have not watched a minute, I don't think its that weird at all.
To add to this, it is extremely frustrating that this could be a team that is fun to watch and root for but instead they are coached by a joy sucking, bellowing ogre and continue to play a slimy piece of crap big minutes who is no where near a good player.
It is not weird to think.
I think if Flip were alive, he would have unlocked Wigs full potential, or at least 3/4s of it.
I feel like best case scenario for the Wolves is that they keep Butler the rest of the season, lose him in FA, and convince everyone they have to rebuild because they lost Butler, and someone holding cap space for next summer misses all their FA targets and panic trades for Wiggins to appease marketing/ownership that they made a big move. Then try to moneyball some pieces to put around KAT. KAT’s no guarantee, but Wiggins strikes me as the NBA’s Delmon Young.
I've been using the Delmon/Wiggins comparison since Wiggins' rookie year. I keep hearing how talented and young Wiggins is, but it never shows up in the games.
Maybe they could do a sign-and-trade with Butler at the end of the season. I'm not that up on the NBA contract rules.
Wiggins is only twenty-three. And nobody doubts his talent.
I love them
I... don't? If you're gonna go for a Prince homage, I think you can do a whole lot better than that.
They aren't vibrantly green enough.
Dude -- paisley
I am only interested in the extremely green jerseys. They should wear them every game.
Both of these reviews were too delicious to wait until FMD.

Pitchfork review of Greta Van Fleet

I saw the P4K review this morning. That was some vintage Pitchfork salt, though of course nothing will ever beat the Jet "review".
That take down was epic, and summed up my feelings pretty well.
Picked up a six pack of this Oktoberfest during my afternoon errands. It may not last the night.
