Whew. That was quite the game. The "this is more of a kicking situation" scene from O Brother comes to mind.

.899 team OPS in May (18 games).
*giggles nervously*
This is normal, right?
Feels like Rosario could be better, so no
They're tied with Seattle for the most HRs in all of baseball. I am very confused by this development.
Even better than how well the Twins' lineup is hitting is that the starting pitching has been darn good, too. That just isn't normal, is it?
In which the jalapeño steals home...
Or just runs toward home in an infinite loop! (Maybe someone with more tech know-how than I have can let me know if there's a way to fix this.)
Not sure how to make an .m4v playable. I tried changing the file type to .mp4 to no avail.
got it finally. See here for explanation. The site already identified the file type as .mp4. Just needed to put it in the right container.
I'm afraid I didn't understand the explanation whatsoever, but thank you for the fix!
Good day for Marwin. Maybe that will help break the dam for him. Although, to be fair, he's never been all that much more than a low 700s-OPS guy. 2017 was an outlier.
He's up to a not eye gougingly bad 87 OPS+, so it looks like that is the case.
Meanwhile, the Marlins have two starters with an OPS+ over 80
Marwin has been hitting pretty well for about 20 games now (.320/.400/.480).
I've been watching his numbers go up with some satisfaction for awhile and wondering what the ceiling is. Adrianza is also not sucking nearly as bad at the plate as he was a few weeks ago.
for Marwin's career:
He has one season with an OPS+ over 109 (303/377/530 for 146 in 2017, at age 28). I would be shocked if, short of a Vitamin S infusion, he could rise much above a 110 OPS+ season.
If he can turn in that offense and above-average defense at four infield positions off the bench, I'm okay with that.
Co-sign. Much better than a scrubini fixation.
I don't see Tim Duncan in that clip. Weird.

Yesterday's family project was removing a closet from the basement family room. It took two of us about three hours, it was a sturdy closet. Next project, sheetrock replacement and repair. Next next project, painting. Next next next project, carpet. I just get to watch on that one. Final project, furniture delivery, assembly and arrangement. I'm trying to get it done by the end of the month and keep my wife within budget, the carpet was a little more than I bargained for but not enough to quibble about. I haven't done a job this big in awhile, so there's a fun aspect to it, but I don't do this stuff very often and my skills have probably deteriorated. Anyway, I have to buy sheetrock tomorrow and have all the prep done and the room ready for paint by the end of the week - priming walls and painting ceiling on Friday night, first wall coat Saturday morning, second wall coat as needed Saturday afternoon/evening. I have to admit, there's something about painting that appeals to my AR side, but I'm too meticulous and slow to ever make money doing it. I just know the paint job is only as good as the prep work.
I couldn't buy drywall anymore after what I paid for it back when I finished the basement in our prior home. I also couldn't do mudding and taping anymore given how the professionals can do it 10x better in 10x less time.
St Paul Saints on channel 45, kind of weird to see baseball on over the air tv.
Former Twins minor league great Adam Brett Walker plays for Milwaukee
I happened to think of him the other day and wondered what might have become of him. Thanks!
Not going to overreact. GoT was.....fine.
just in case, we're scheduled for a movie post tomorrow.
Okay, I'll pipe down.
sorry, i didn't mean it like that. just figured a few people would have something to say.
