Things have cooled down this week around here. Guessing we're not coming back from this.

There was a non-weather-related delay, but "1970 Rewind" is up now.
AFL report:
Surprise 17, Scottsdale 2.
Matt Wallner was 0-for-2 with a walk. He is batting .304.
Andrew Bechtold was 1-for-4. He is batting .333.
Michael Helman was 0-for-3. He is batting .357.
Evan Sisk pitched 1.2 innings. He gave up two runs on two hits and a walk and struck out five. His ERA is 18.00.
Zach Featherstone pitched 0.2 innings. He gave up no runs on a walk. His ERA is 2.45.
We had one glorious weekend of temps in the mid 70s with no humidity (!) and then it was back to the meat grinder of summer temps plus air you can wear.
We are in a lull between raindrops. From the sky!!!.
It's so strange. Do other people experience this?
Do you remember a few years ago when James Harden was memeworthy at the Wolves game? Well that season ticket holders with legs crossed holding him up is now Sheenie's coworker. And he couldn't use his seats in opening day for some reason, and Sheenie got to attend in those seats. She was most involved with the game during the third quarter when Malik Beasley stepped on her toe after chasing a loose ball.
What's his nickname? "Sorta Cool Beas"??
Speaking of “chilly,” while I’m well past the point where I’d be likely to wear a sports team jacket, it’s pretty cool to see that Ebbets Field Flannels has released their (first-ever, I believe) Twins merch — a 1965 Twins dugout jacket.
Almost everything* Ebbets makes is excellent, and I really appreciate their aesthetic. Once the weather is cool enough, I routinely cycle through a Willie Mays-era Minneapolis Millers cap (my favorite for the colors & representation, no longer produced), a 1955 St. Paul Saints cap, and a 1910 Saints short-bill cap (my favorite for comfort, also no longer produced).
* Several years ago Ebbets changed its T-shirts to a new pattern with an absolutely tiny collar that folds over on itself and never lays flat. I quit buying tees from them for that reason alone.
I'm sure I could go broke shopping there
The existing St. Paul Saints sell that exact cap. In fact I have one myself.
Oof that price tag!
Better be game-used at that price
I imagine MLB extracts a pretty hefty percentage for the licensing rights. For years Ebbets only produced baseball gear for extinct minor league teams, Negro League teams, then eventually Japanese, Mexican, and Caribbean teams. Colleges have started to appear in the last few years, too. These jackets are, as far as I know, the first MLB gear they’ve made.
I was well ahead of the leaf raking game this year and then we got two days of rain and a lot of wind and about half the leaves in the white oaks fell and the sugar maple on the side of the house is pretty much bare now. The silver maple out front will drop its leaves about the time I finish bagging up the oak leaves in back. I swear I am cutting that silver maple down next summer, the roots have been driving me crazy for 20 years now. Once the silver maple sheds, it will be time for the red oaks to drop some of their leaves, although they keep most of theirs until spring, when I get to do another round of raking.

This Cosmos jacket is beautiful
