Ex-Twins news: Mets sign Daniel Palka to a minor league contract.
I forgot that I hate doing legs. Off to physical therapy I go...
I feel like the only person in the world who actually liked leg day. Unfortunately, the Bowflex I have is terrible for leg exercises. Fortunately, I'm a cyclist which does a pretty good job of making them look good.
Rowing means every day is leg day. I’ve been slacking and need to get back on mine.
ah man i need to start watching this show again.
Its so good. I need to finish up the most recent season, though. I got side tracked by What We Do in the Shadows which is the funniest show ever made.
That's a sidetrack worthwhile
I'm all caught up and feel like my life is all the better for it.
Legs is all I do anymore, bike in the summer and treadmill in the winter. I figure if I can keep my legs under me I should be okay.
I like todays header picture.
It has nothing to do with Festivus, though
aw shoot, that's right. you know, i'll go make a separate post.
Any local foodies here want to pretend they're me and use a reservation for five at Owamni on Sunday, January 2nd at 6?
We had a miscommunication in the family and ended up with two reservations.
Oooh... So in the recent Star Tribune write-up of Owamni, one of the other articles was about a good friend of mine who passed away this year, and her husband and the community rallying around them. And then he had posted a note about that having been one of the places they wanted to try before she passed... this just feels like a weirdly appropriate coincidence. I wouldn't be able to take the reservation myself, but would it be cool if I reached out to him to see if he has any interest?
Definitely.
Was that the doctor? My wife was in tears reading that one.
It was. She was in my first-year college symposium class (along with Zee), and we'd been good friends for 20 years. It was a stunning loss.
I'll reach out to him and let you know. Thanks!
If Philo's friend doesn't work out I'd be interested.
Curveballs. Our Christmas Eve dinner menu changed, now we're having potato soup and a ham. It's the soup recipe we save the bacon fat for, so I'm good with this. We still need to make more Chex mix and fudge, but the Mrs. made snickerdoodles yesterday and they are possibly my favorite cookie, so I had two or seven.

some wintertime baseball reading.
It feels like WAR doesn't adequately value relief pitching.
A bad closer seems to totally deflate a team.
I have no data to back that up. Just a gut feel from being a Twins fan for forty plus years.
I won't name names to protect RhuRu's mental health.
much appreciated
Not sure if it has been mentioned around here yet, but one vaccine to rule them all??
Booster shot downloaded. No side effects. My other arm hurts. No idea why.
Army of One, dude. Army of One.
Runner daughter had a little soiree tonight for her dog, who was celebrating her 10 year "gotcha" anniversary. It's been quite a ride.
Wow. Time flies.
