  1. This past weekend I did a crapton of mulching, mowed the lawn for the first time, and with the neighbor we grubbed out some wild shrubbery/saplings and grapevine out of the woods out back. Also got the deck raised gardens back in shape so Mrs Runner could get cranking on her planting, too. I still need to mix up the herbicide and spray all the $*&@#^ wild iris and clear out encroaching grass around the front trees, and Mrs Runner has hanging baskets to plant...eventually.

  2. I think we're supposed to get more snow here...

I added a bunch of dirt (from our new window wells that we dug out last fall) to the low spots in the yard, so I need to get those properly seeded and fertilized. It's pretty much clay, which makes it tough to incorporate into the existing lawn.

Also, we have a million stray cats that come through our yard, and frequently use it for their own purposes. I need to figure out how to deal with that in a humane fashion. We have neighbors on either side of us who have cats, and then there are 2 nearby houses (including one of the neighbors) who apparently feed the stray cats too? I don't actually know, but it seems odd and unhealthy.

    1. Find a spot in your back yard for a small sandbox, about 3'x3', and anytime you find cat poop toss it into the sandbox. Eventually they'll get the idea that there's a bathroom for them and they'll use it. If you can get them all using the sandbox then you only have one small area to clean up.

        1. I think you should discuss this with the cats. Threaten to join NATO if they don't see reason.

        2. No, your neighbors should be the ones keeping their cats inside in the first place.

    1. Also a heads up there is rumbling that they will move the opener to Friday since Thursday looks to be wet and cold.

    2. I'll keep Tuesdays. But I will be in Hawaii next week so if someone could cover that Tuesday, I'd appreciate it.

  3. HJ, any clarification on the keepers business?
I’m not seeing anything obvious where this would be done through Yahoo. It’s also possible that I don’t have anyone eligible given my transaction history.
Perhaps someone else in the league can verify what I’m (not) seeing?

    1. According to the internets, keepers can only be selected in a browser, not from the app. That makes absolutely no sense, but that's what I'm seeing.

I know that after I adjusted the draft time yesterday on my desktop, I did see an option to select keepers again.

      1. I see it. You have to go look at "Final Slate for Last Season" to know where your keepers' draft position is. Before I get ahead of myself...if draft position is not showing, are they not eligible? Or does the draft do something else with them?

      1. have a Chance again.
