Its May 15th and the Twins have used 41 players.
But they're in first place, and I certainly wasn't expecting that.
That's some fully optimized roster utilization.
Better late than never--Minor Details, covering yesterday's games, has now been posted.
Employee discount day at the Twins store. I picked up a Berrios jersey (all the traded player stuff is half off, btw), a baby blue no-name jersey, and one of the red TC hats with blue bill. After the game a little kid ran up and gave me a spontaneous hug for no particular reason. And the Twins took the series. Good game.
We're going to maybe be in the North Loop area next weekend, and Ive had a $25 Twins gift card for like 4 or 5 years now.
Thinking I might make my way to the team store and find a nice something close to that dollar amount
I think the sticker price on the hat was $26.
damn clouds...
We got a nice view. Also saw the ISS pass almost directly overhead just as the moon hit totality. This was the first lunar eclipse my kids remember seeing, so that’s a good memory for all of us, too.
We saw one back when Pete was about 3-4 years old. He just kept muttering, "the moon is broken..."
We fought through some clouds to see up to second contact, then called it a night. I futzed with the advanced photo settings on my phone to try get a nice photo, but it was a disappointing.
We let all the kids stay up late enough that they could see it starting well enough, and Aquinas stayed up late enough to see it almost completely covered. After an insanely full weekend, that was good enough.
