The zipper on our old tent broke, plus we needed a size upgrade anyway, so we got a new, bigger tent. Already have a couple of campsites reserved for some upcoming weekends.

Twins-Cubs averaged about 31,000 fans through the 3-game series and I was there Friday night and it was probably 60-40 Twins v. Cubs fans. From other reports, the whole weekend was pretty raucous and fun, even with the so-so weather.
It's a month early preview of my annual game log lament but I still don't get why MLB schedules the Twins-Brewers for a 2 game mid-week series. The atmosphere for a weekend series against the Brewers would be off the charts and I bet the attendance would be near capacity.
Maybe they're still bitter about the "Selig sucks!" chants you could hear at Miller Park years ago during contraction talks.
Hey looks like I have an extra ticket to the MNUFC game this coming Wednesday. Let me know if you'd like to join me in the Supporters Section. It's standing only with lots of chanting and drumming. Weather looks to be perfect for a night out.
Standing at my workstation looking out the window at a turkey hen checking out the back yard...
Those [redacted] things will take over your yard. Get a dog. Or better yet, a mean ol' tom cat.
not worried. when it comes to who might be taking over the yard: mole >>> spurge > wild iris > deer > racoon > turkey > squirrel > rabbit
I mentioned a while back that one of our very busy competitors was closing shop due to the mall bringing in a big box store. They officially closed just over a week ago. We ended up seeing about a 25% bump in sales over the previous year for the week. Saturday broke our all time sales record, and then Sunday we broke it again. It is going to be one crazy summer.
My wife and I were wondering if you were going to see a bump. 25% feels like quite the bump.
this is where I work
the river is still rising
oofta
That is brutal man. Hopefully the greens make it through the inundation.
Anyone want to guess the quote we got for replacing our windows and doors? 30 windows, 4 doors, 4 storm doors.
$50,000?
some good low-e stuff? I'll go with Pepper
I'll take the under. $32,000?
The Price is Right rules?
$68,999
I'l go $55,000.
Wood: $133K (that's with a $33K promotional discount)
Vinyl: $99K ($25K discount)
One entry door+ storm door combo is nearly $15K ($11,380+$3,552)
Pella?
We got bids from Pella, Andersen, and Marvin. I just laughed at the Pella bid.
Yep. Anderson is coming out on Friday
Good lord.
(Where do I collect my new car?)
Somewhere in Illinois
Hopefully I don’t lose it the way I lost the other one…
(I did wonder how I would identify which railroad was transporting it. I understand you can track rail cars if you know the number on the rolling stock, but I didn’t get that info from the dealer.)
Not sure you could track it, but pretty sure manufacturer could.
In my experience, you can do something if you have the railcar number, but yeah, you need that at least.
It’s an antiquated system.
(in b4 “my opinions do not reflect my employer’s.”)
Can the new Twins' Double-Digit Run lineup continue their romp? Stay tuned (late 🙁 ) tonight and find out...
another free .tv game though.
Sadly, that's prime Tears of the Kingdom time for me since the Bauble bogarts the Switch until bed time.
Yep.
