Whoa! White Sox giving up and traded Giolito and Lopez to the Angels. And it appears that Lance Lynn won't be on the Sox by the trading deadline as well. I'm so old, I remember back in 2021 when the White Sox where an up and coming team with prospects in the cusp of breaking out.
After traveling to Japan and South Korea these past weeks, and loving it, I was wondering if anyone of the great history buffs here had a recommendation for an accessible intro book to the history of each of these countries. We heard a lot from our various guides, but that only whet my appetite.
My knowledge of Asian history is shamefully lacking, so I'd be interested in learning more as well
Air conditioning went out in the office. Not ideal.

Last summer I installed a mini-split (small air conditioner) at the end of the joints cooks line. Prior to that our kitchen regularly hit 100 degrees. After adding the mini-split it has been much better. With the weather this week, I added another portable air conditioner to the mix. So, I had the main rooftop unit, a mini-split and a portable AC unit all running today, as well as a dehumidifier. We will topped out at 97 degrees on the line tonight. I really do not like this much heat!
