Estrellas defeated the Gigantes yesterday 8-3. Miguel Sano did not play. Estrellas was led in batting by Drew Avans, who was 2-for-3 with a home run and a triple. Rainer Nunez was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Dairon Blanco and Robinson Cano were each 2-for-5. Roman Mendez got the win, pitching two-thirds of an inning and giving up only a walk.
Caribes defeated Aragua 10-5. Willians Astudillo was 2-for-4. Ricardo Genoves led the team in batting, going 3-for-4 with two doubles. Eduardo Diaz was 2-for-3. Herlis Rodriguez was 2-for-5. The win went to Edgar Escobar, who pitched five innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks and striking out three.

Apropos of the other day, people seem to be bending over backwards to find some other Twitter clone rather than migrating to Mastodon. Why is that?
Network effects. About a third of my follows moved to Bluesky, maybe 10% to Mastodon, and the rest haven't fully left Twitter (or quit entirely).
Same reason Marlboro smokers worried about lung cancer switch to Marlboro Lights, I would think.
Nailed it! 😅
I’m in tech and find Mastodon very confusing to get going or really understand it. I would be very surprised if it’s ever more than niche platform. Unless there’s some sort of big evolution of how the thing works. (Though I think I generally am enjoying it myself.)
Like bjhess, I found Mastodon confusing and like Sean, found more people moved to Bluesky.
still got some bluesky codes if anyone needs em.
Speaking of that alternative, I found a WordPress plugin that almost does what I need to share to Bluesky.
I'd take one.
check your gmail.
Hmmm. Can't find it
the one that starts with jnc? it's from my user name at wgom dot org.
Yes. Gmail.
I can find an email from you about being able to guest dj in 2012 but that's it.
tried it again. let me know if you don't see it.
I have 3 as well. My bsky experience is largely echoing what's up there - most of my people ended up there because of it being a simpler interface than Mastodon. We all tried mastodon and no one liked it.
I had a dream last night that the Vikes were up 24-3 this weekend when Dobbs got hurt. So the Vikings brought in...Vinny Testaverde. They won 27-26 on a last second field goal. Testaverde, for some reason, turned the ball over a lot.
It's not my field of expertise, but I'd say either your meds are too strong, or not strong enough.
I'm trying Micro.blog also which can feed to both mastadon and bluesky. I'm sticking with all 4 right now (but w/ the same usage as before on just Twitter)
I like bluesky the most so far. Mastadon isn't too hard to set up, but finding appropriate servers and users to follow is much harder.

I don't know about that - I think bS owns stock
Indeed.
I don't see what's so complicated about it.

I was starting to think the Gophers might be good at basketball. I'm past that.
