I get bad calls happen, and it sucks when it's against your team and I'm not all "hurdur the league wants New York to win". But the next time someone falls over like

when they *actually* got knocked over will be the first.
Flopping sucks (looking at you Embiid), but yeah, those refs were just generally terrible. Watching the Wolves, who don't foul hunt, you'd think the league would actually crack down on that shit because its so much more fun to watch. I will hurdur some tinfoil hat shit about this, though: The NBA won't because of gambling.
Tornado warnings and sirens at 4:30AM sucks, but why do people keep scheduling video calls during lunch?!?!? There goes my beloved nap time
Soon you will have no restrictions on napping. Except for Honeydos.
I come from a long line of quality nappers. It's a blessing, and a curse.
Invest in a quality hammock. Outdoor napping is the best.
Through 20 innings, SWR has a FIP of 1.84. Through 4 innings, Duran has a FIP of negative 0.36
Stuff like this is why I'll probably never dump twitter completely:
I am also unlikely to ever give up the Tweeter. Just for fun, here's one of the main personalities unexpectedly giving the Wolves props.
Threw a ball for my dog and a Minnesota Timberwolves player appeared and swatted it away. Please stop this you are ruining my life

Looking at pitching staff stats while I eat lunch is interesting. The Twins, for example, seem to be a middle of the pack corps from a cursory glance. Their combined ERA of 3.87 is 15th among 30 teams. Their .238 BAA is 14th in MLB. A 1.19 WHIP puts them 10th in the majors. But there are two key stats that stick out as exceptional. The Twins rank second in baseball with 338 strikeouts, and they rank next to last (tied with Boston) with just 87 free passes, giving them the best K/BB ratio across leagues at 3.89. The Twins bullpen is also tied with the Dodgers for second place in holds (27), just one off Cleveland's pace. The pitching is good, citizens. Believe in the pitching.
The Twins have become a bit of a pitching force in recent years and they have a type: great strikeout and walk rates, but prone to home runs.
Heh.
BTW, the Twins have given up 40 dingers, 8th most in MLB.
I'll take it with ranking second best for strikeouts and walks.
I mean, it makes sense. Lots of strikeouts and not many walks means lots of pitches in the strike zone, and more homers will likely result.
The anti-Timberwolves people have now decided they are only winning because they get away with fouling.
The masses will complain that no one is allowed to play defense until someone is allowed to play defense. Personally, the level of contact that ball-handlers have been able to initiate seems way over the top compared to what defenses have been allowed to do, so I'm happy to see it swing back this way a bit.
Jeebus. In six playoff games, the Wolves have outscored opponents by 93 points. That's like a whole game of offense.
If I cared about the NBA I'd be really upset about that. I don't know how you throw something at an official and don't get suspended, even if it is the playoffs.
Yeah, actual assault seems to cross a line that needs to be acknowledged.
I agree, but it was never gonna happen.
Does he get a second 100k fine for making the money-with-fingers symbol at the ref?
The joke I saw was that he's been so bad that suspending him was only going to help the Nuggets.
I found it very funny last night that the Nuggets were wearing their "5280" jerseys.
incredible
Not one, but two ArtButSports appreciation posts for last night's game.

Entering the season, FanGraphs' positional power rankings ranked the Twins starters fifth and relievers third in MLB.

No suspension for Murray.
