October 18, 2024: ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE

Well, technically it won't be landing there, but the Europa Clipper is on its way to the icy Jupiter moon. It won't get there until 2030, but looking forward to all of its new insights.

  1. I wonder if Juno will still be active when Clipper makes it there. I see its mission has only been extended until next year but that doesn't preclude additional extensions.

  2. Hey, Can of Corn and I are headed to a couple of shows in the next few weeks that may be of interest to fellow citizens. I think tix are available for these shows but frankly I haven't confirmed and both or either could be sold out:

Friday October 25 - Drive By Truckers (Uptown Theater)
Thursday November 14 - Lydia Loveless (Cloudland)

Both artists also have second shows the day after, but we aren't attending and again not sure of availability.

  3. Children’s book tie in: there’s a lovely new picture book called In Praise of Mystery with the poem US Poet Laureate Ada Limón wrote to be inscribed on the Europa Clipper.
