I was worried the Vikings brass might consider extending Darnold. I don't think I need to worry about that now.

I'm going to recklessly compare Darnold to Matt Cassel. Took over a loaded Patriots team in 2008. Went 10-5. Led the league in being sacked. I see Darnold getting a decent contract, playing decently for a couple of years, then being mostly a backup after that again
