At the local park district pool where the kids take lessons, I do appreciate that, despite the staff being a bunch of teenagers, they do maintain an almost military like attention to lifeguarding discipline while they’re on duty.

They’re pounding energy drinks and using smokeless tobacco/nicotine delivery products to stay awake on duty?
When Little G does swim team in the summer, that attention and discipline is really consistent across all the pools we go to. It is noticeable every time though, they are all doing the thing and paying full attention to it.
