   The Minnesota Twins today announced that Derek Falvey will officially be elevated to President, Baseball & Business Operations and Dave St. Peter will transition to the role of Strategic Advisor, effective on Monday, March 3. This completes the Twins’ executive leadership succession plan announced by Twins Control Owner Jim Pohlad and club Executive Chair Joe Pohlad on November 12, 2024. Falvey, entering his ninth season with the Twins and 18th in Major League Baseball, is now the fifth president in Minnesota Twins history and the first to carry the dual title of President, Baseball & Business Operations. He originally joined the club as Executive Vice President, Chief Baseball Officer in October 2016 before being elevated to President, Baseball Operations in November 2019. While crafting teams that have recorded the 10th-most wins in MLB over the last eight seasons, Falvey has also been instrumental in working with Twins executive leadership to evolve the organization’s strategic planning process, focus on innovation, and dedication to employee growth and community engagement. St. Peter, who concludes a 22-year tenure as club president, is one of the most consequential executives in Twins and recent Minnesota sports history. He joined the organization as an intern in 1990, was named the fourth president in Minnesota Twins history in November 2002 and assumed the Chief Executive Officer title in December 2016. St. Peter will continue to partner with the Pohlad family, Falvey and Twins executive leadership to provide guidance on a range of key development issues, including the continued long-term evolution of Target Field and the club’s new broadcast partnership with Major League Baseball, among others.
