Pre-retirement I always made a daily checklist the night before, pushing forward items I didn't get done before, and adding anything new+daily stuff.
I didn't do for 2 weeks while on Japan trip, which was easy cause I was all whacked out from travel, but started again as soon as I got back last night.
I did switch from daily Japanese to Russian on Duolingo a week ago - am thinking about a future half- in the Baltics. Also thinking about steps toward more vegetarian - I really liked some of the simple V. meals we had in Koyasan. I have it on my list to try to make this Japanese vegan soup (kenchinjiru.
Yesterday I had a headache so I took some Advil. Then I laid down for a few minutes to wait for them to kick in. Then I woke up half an hour later, 15 minutes late for a meeting. I blame daylight saving time.
I had a migraine yesterday. I get them frequently, but I suspect this one was related to multiple major assignments due over the weekend of the clock change. I can’t wait to abolish this practice.
The Missus had her annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday. I worked the serving line for a couple of hours, until my bionic hip told me it was done for the day.
But she came home with a ziplock full of cold (unsauced) spaghetti.
I got the bright idea to make veggie lo mein the next night. Mmmm. I'm really loving the (still!) new, carbon steel wok I got last year from The Wok Shop in SF (order online, but be patient! I think they must make these to order or something). It gets super hot, super fast. For some reason, I have had no trouble at all with rice (for fried rice) or these noodles sticking. And I can fool myself into thinking I am getting a touch of "wok hei".
Got several of my to do items done yesterday and tackling some also this morning; I'm setting a bad precedence for retirement 🙁

Vikings being rather assertive on the free agent market recently.
I'm just nervous that they have a void at backup QB. I don't want a certain GB QB.
Yeah, I was hoping Jones would stick around. That is an outcome I too do not desire.
I think that all the analysts on ESPN talking about A Rod like he is in prime form and not old and cooked
And he has a crappy attitude. It's not likely he'd happily back up a young quarterback.

It's the one campaign promise I could get behind -- what's the excuse? Get 'er done already!
Oops -- Blewett.
