I didn't have to use them much, but I'm so glad I don't have to use laundromats anymore. Most of the places I lived had it in the basement, or even better, a few doors down the hall. I don't know why I disliked it so much. Maybe having to go back multiple times to accomplish only one annoying task? It's not a huge thing, but I'm glad I don't have to go inside each time I see one.

Over the past 20 years or so, we have had to use a laundromat a few times when we have had washer/dryer issues. Each time, I have been very thankful that I don't need to use laundromats more often. I am never willing to leave while my clothes are in the washer, as people can just be stupid sometimes. So, I end up reading a book or something while I wait. On the other hand, I strongly dislike doing laundry in general. It's the folding of the clothes that gets me. As a result, I typically do 90% of the outside work. I also do a lot of the grocery getting, cooking and dishwashing. I am very fortunate that my wife is ok with this arrangement.
I don't have patience for some chores (cooking being one) but I don't mind folding, and likewise I'll tackle chores like cleaning toilets, mowing, etc as a trade-off.
When we vacation, we will much of the time pick places with utilities so that we can wash periodically and avoid carrying as much clothing with us. Our June trip to northern Europe* has several locations with VRBO, etc where we can avoid needing to use a laundromat.

Yes. When we travel, I do like to book VRBO joints with laundry facilities. Allows us to pack lighter and also not bring home suitcases full of stinky clothes. I can't imagine using a laundromat while on vacation.
I have fond memories of doing laundry in the Grand Canyon national park’s laundry - mostly because I was really, really stinky prior washing those cloths.
We have started to revisit the TV series Fargo. Second time watching season 1 and I even liked it more than the first time. It captures the general feel of the movie, yet has a great story on it's own. We are halfway through season 2, which is also rock solid. Living out here in rural Minnesota, I recognize real world equivalents to certain characters and themes of the show. I think we we finish the series, I will go back through many of the Coen brother's offerings. I know the TV series is not a Coen brothers product, but it does a great job honoring their style of filmmaking.
New dishwasher and kitchen faucet are installed. No leaks, but this house has some stupid plumbing, man. I sure would love to tear out all the copper and replace it with PEX pipe. Also, why does every DIY home repair job require at least 3 trips to the hardware store? I mean, it's only a five minute drive but, Jeebus.
I've always said that plumbers charge the rates that they do because they have the parts they need in their truck.
Braves have won 9 straight games against us. Gads.
Hang in there, W14!
Who is Jonah Bride? 😆
Quite an opening assignment:
I know Buxton hates stealing third base, but he should really try to steal third base here
or let Sale walk the bases full
well geez
Sounds like Perk in the booth with Atteberry tonight?
